Chapter 11: Shift

"I'm agent Phil Coulson from Shield."

Phil offered a handshake to Michael.

"I'm Michael Redrose, but you probably already knew that." Michael accepted the handshake.

Phil just smiled at Michael's comment and changed the topic.

"So what brings you here?" He asked.

"I want to see the hammer." Michael replied and looked around.

Phil had an inkling feeling about it but was still surprised, he thought that no news has reached beyond the camp about the hammer.

"Why?" Phil asked.

"I have information about it."

"You do? Okay then, but I'll have to confirm the request with my superior."

"Don't take too long." Michael nodded.

Michael wasn't only interested in the power of Thor, but also Odin's power, Odinforce.

It had reality bending power that intrigues Michael. And from the knowledge he has about Mjölnir is that Odin gave it to Thor and had runes placed on the hammer. So analyzing the Hammer might help him.

For years, Michael managed to understand something about his powers.

He needs to fulfill the requirements to unlock new dimensions on his body.

He didn't know how, but he knew that the speed of unlocking such dimensions only through training was too slow, so Michael has to take matters onto his own hands.

Odin Force and Thunder Divinity might help him.

A minute later, Phil came back and glanced at Michael and Doberman.

"You'll be allowed in, I hope you'll share information about it."

"Sure thing." Michael nodded and then started to follow Phil.

They arrived at the site of the hammer.

Michael just went near it.

"It's too heavy to be picked up, no matter how strong." Phil said.

"It has nothing to do with strength." Michael reached out at the hammer and tried to pick it up.

No matter how much he pulled, the hammer stayed glued to the ground, so he infused Dimensional Energy on it. Lighting sparks started to slither around the hammer, refusing to bow down.

'If I'm not worthy, who is?' Michael smirked. The hammer finally gave up, and Michael lifted it up.

"You can lift it?" Phil was shocked, but he is a trained agent who can get a hold of his emotions, "We should move it to a better location."

Phil continued to tell the other agents to prepare a helicopter.

"The hammer will remain here, It's neither mine nor yours." Michael said, while checking the hammer.

He searched the hammer if it has any link to a dimension or something the likes of it. He sensed something, but it wasn't a dimension. When he infuses his dimensional energy inside, he can feel another force push it, a force he assumed was the Odin Force.

He also felt one of his dimensions in his body budge a little, but nothing else other than that.

"What do you mean?" Phil asked, while still holding a phone on his hand.

"This is Mjölnir. And yes, it belongs to Thor from Mythology." Michael dropped the hammer to the ground after fully examining it.

"What? That's a myth, there is no way it's true." Phil shook his head. He was starting to believe Michael was just like any other child.

"Hahaha, you did say you sensed Divinity, I didn't think you were saying the truth young master." Doberman laughed and then looked at Phil, "It's probably true agent Croissant."

"Coulson.."

"Yea whatever."

"If what you're saying is true, then why the hell is it here.. In New Mexico. Shouldn't it be in Valhalla or something." Phil's real personality was beginning to show.

"Valhalla doesn't exist.. Probably— Anyway, I'll be leaving." Michael signaled to Doberman.

Phil wanted to stop them, "You're the only one who knows something about this."

Michael chuckled flatly, "You'd be surprised at how correct are people about the myths."

"I'm afraid I can't let you go, this is a high level case." Agents around them had their hands on their belts. They had every kind of weapon. Weapons that can be used even against mutants.

"How are you going to stop me if you can't even move?" asked Michael.

"Huh?" Phil and the others around him tried to move but couldn't.

Michael's telekinesis has grown strong enough to move trucks with ease, let alone just humans. And that's because his improvement in controlling dimensional energy.

"Don't worry about the hammer, you'll understand about it soon enough." Having said that, Michael and Doberman made their way to their car. As soon as they started driving off, Michael no longer could maintain his telekinesis due to the range, but they still were far away.

"Did you get what you want ?"

"Yes. Find a place we can stay for the time being."

"Yes young master."

The next day, Michael noticed changes in one of the dimensional cracks in his body. He decided to not meet Thor, since it seemed that his objective, unlocking another dimension was close.

'I guess Mjölnir did the job.' Thought Michael. He kept pushing dimensional energy around the crack, pressuring it little by little, Michael could feel that the lock was weakening.

Puff!

Suddenly, the dimension opened. Without wasting any time, Michael entered there with his consciousness.

When he entered inside, he looked at the surroundings and saw an endless dessert. He also received information about it.

When Michael processed the information, he realized that it wasn't exactly a dimension.

More like this dimension exist to help his newly found ability,

Dimensional Shift!

He could shift attacks caused to him and place them inside the Dimension.

However he could only do it when an attack reaches his body.

This ability was limited to only a part of the body, not the whole. With time, Michael felt he could upgrade it, but now it has a cooldown and a range of body restriction.

He could only used it once every 30 minutes.

Michael also knew that there was another way to use this ability, but currently couldn't.

He could make it so his physical body passes through this new dimension, while his incorporeal body still remains in the real world. Right now, he couldn't do it, but the future is never known.

Since this dimension didn't have a name, Michael decided to name it 'O' Dimension. Honoring Obito Uchiha, a very famous shifter.

Michael decided to try the ability for the first time.

He took the gun from out of his storage and pointed it to his hand.

Since Dimensional Shift was more like an instinctive ability, he immediately knew how to use it.

He shot a bullet to his hand, and just before the bullet made contact, his skin turned an indigo(purple) color and absorbed it.

Michael immediately checked inside the O dimension and saw a bullet in the sand. The exact one that passed through his hand.

Michael smiled at this. An overpowered ability indeed.

He waited for another thirty minutes and tested it again, however this time, he used dimensional energy bullets on his gun. Thanks to his control, he could used tiny bullets made out of Dimensional Energy instead of normal bullets, without damaging the gun itself.

He tried again with his palm, if it doesn't work, it will hurt him a lot. Michael may have immunity towards dimensional energy, but the speed of the attack was the problem. Just like most guns.

It's not the bullet's fault that one bleeds, it's the speed that the bullet gains.

Even though currently, Michael couldn't solidify his dimensional energy, it was still physical if there was a lot of energy, and the bullet was a concentrated energy ball, so this was the closest Michael has gotten to solidifying.

Michael took a risk, and just pulled the trigger.

Michael took a second to sight in relief after seeing it work and then entered inside O to see.

There was no trace of Dimensional Energy because it had probably dissipated when it made contact with the sand.

Next day, Michael decided to go back to Queens. His job was done, he just hoped that Shield didn't come looking for him. Afterall, Thor is somewhere around and they will get their answers.

After three hours of jet ride and twenty minutes of car ride, Michael arrived at midtown middle school. Because of the subjects having no interesting things, Michael skipped most classes and only went to a few of them. He bribed the principal so he didn't give him any trouble and did whatever he wanted inside the school premises like he owned this place.

Michael has always liked physics and maths and quantum theory and anything having to do with astronomy.

So instead of going to classes, he used a little of his money buying different machines and advanced books on various theories to widen his knowledge.

Especially related to dimensions. So he could make use of his dimensional energy and create weapons of mass destruction. In a few years, Michael estimated that he'll be able to build his own A.I and even make advanced guns that can shoot lasers with the help of his dimensional energy.

"Please attend some of your classes young master, anyway I'm leaving, I'll pick you up after a few hours." Doberman said and entered the car again, leaving Michael right infront of the school.

[You know the DRILL! Powwwweeer!"
