Chapter 36: CHAPTER 36
"Nice to meet you, Fury," a mechanical voice sounded over the room.
This startled all of them in the room except Natasha and Barton as they knew who it was.
The others quickly drew their guns and pointed at Andrew who was seated on the sofa.
Fury was startled as well but did not show it and looked at Andrew who was wearing his mask. The skeleton Mask has dark glass on the eyes. His bow and arrows, a sword, and even a gun was strapped into his suit. He was radiating an aura that threatened everyone in the room and with one wrong move, they will be lying on the ground dying.
"Stand Down!" He said which made the others put their guns down.
Maria bent down to get the tablet that fell when she drew her weapon.
Ian was shaking thinking of what would happen to him as he was the one who said his secret to his director.
Phil was still vigilant as his hands never left the handle of the gun and ready for any moment to act when needed.
Before Fury could call out to him or speak his thoughts, Andrew spoke, "Dishonored, that is how you will call me…"
Andrew did not want anyone here to utter his name as he knew SHIELD has been compromised. Even though his two software were active disrupting cameras and communications he did not want to take any chance.
Fury and others realized what Andrew implied.
"Dishonored, Ironic I suppose… I am going to cut to the chase, we need your help…" Fury spoke.
Nicholas J. Fury is a man who takes everything into his hands and ensures all things go according to his plans and everyone follows what he imposes and now here he was asking for help from someone who has constantly rejected him.
But now he has no other choice.
'Hydra, the organization that is not supposed to exist now exists. They have infiltrated not only SHIELD but everything. Every profession that is available on Earth, they have its men and women in it. Civilians, Cops, Doctors, Lawyers, Politicians, FBI, CIA, Taxi Drivers, and many more. They are everywhere in the US and some parts of other countries. I have no other choice but to hope for his help. As we started to dig deeper, we realized there is no way we can erase them swiftly other than letting the world know that Hydra still exists in a grand manner of destruction. The number of people I can trust is less. The only ones I can trust my back are the people in this room and a few more out in the world. I don't have enough manpower to end them. I need as many as I can and I hope Avengers Initiative is where I can start.'
"I have repeatedly told you, Fury, I am not going to do what you ask me to do. I am never going to follow rules or orders. I make my own from now on…"
"Hear me out and then you can tell me your answer," Fury said and he started to list out what they have found. Every word that he said made Andrew question everything.
He heard how SHIELD was first started, he said how the founders of SHIELD had brought in Arnim Zola and how he started everything.
"The problem was the founders did not consider that Arnim Zola was a Hydra in heart and the words Cut off one head and two more shall take its place was resurfaced through him. We still don't know who the current leader is and the problem is we don't have enough manpower to stop them. The Avengers Initiative that we wanted you to join is our only hope… I hope you join this initiative, Dishonored," Fury said and stopped talking as he let Andrew take in everything.
Andrew decided not to join the Avengers Initiative but help them like a mercenary or a bounty hunter but before he could voice it out, Fury's next words made the room drop down in temperature.
"Damon is a Hydra Agent"
Everyone felt it inside the room. The coldness and wrathful atmosphere.
Fury continued, "Why do you think he was the mastermind behind your last mission, drug trafficking. Why do you think he can control the mission and make all the plans? Even though he answers to Yellow and does his orders if he wants to he can kill him and take his position but that is not what he wants. The mission he did is something of a Test, a test to increase his standing mostly, and now that he has done that his standing did increase in Hydra. He has not yet mobilized the forces he can call out but soon he will and once he does that it will be very difficult for you to end his life. He can disappear if he wants to and you will never find out where he will be or when he will resurface…"
Fury stopped as he saw a black-greyish smoke starting to come out from Andrew.
Everyone could see it and Natasha remembered the eyes that appeared within that. Barton also knew about this as Natasha had relayed what happened and other than that even he saw Andrew lose control of himself once.
Ian, Maria, Phil, and Fury were witnessing this for the first time. They felt as if they were being sucked into oblivion.
Fury was able to regain himself but the same could not be said for the others.
Natasha quickly went forward and started to make Andrew come out of it.
"Snap out of it!!"
Andrew who was consumed in rage and wrath and the smoke that was emitting from him was brought back through Natasha's voice.
He realized he lost control again and got into the feeling of the Void Energy that amplified his feelings.
'Amplified?'
The moment he thought of that he started to sense the Void Energy that was dissipating. He wanted to know whether his feelings helped him in increasing its effects and as he used his emotions of sadness and rage at the same time, the void energy started to tremble but soon it disappeared completely and Andrew could not feel it anymore.
'I have to find a way to feel the Void Energy…'
Andrew came out of his thoughts and he saw Natasha close to him holding his right shoulder and shaking him to bring him back to control.
He turned to her and that made Natasha relax as she saw his eyes regain his calmness.
Fury who witnessed this had another plan appear on his mind.
"Thanks…" he said which made Natasha completely relax and she got back to her position.
"How do you know he is part of Hydra?" questioned Andrew.
Maria who was close to Fury went forward. She took a file on the table and presented it to him.
Andrew took it and opened it. He started to go through the details.
'He was recruited 5 years back and has been going on separate missions. All those times when he said he was enjoying himself, he was on missions from Hydra and was figuring out a way to increase his standing. Who recruited him is not on the file and that means they have still not found a way on how they do it,' Andrew thought.
"I will take this and I will give my response in a few days…"
Fury nodded and did not want to force or pressure him anymore. He knew the consequences if he did it.
"Alright, you all can leave… Barton and Natasha stay here…"
Phil, Maria, and Ian left the room before Ian left the room he turned to Andrew and said, "I am sorry…" and he took his leave.
"You both… We are now at war with an enemy that has its hands on everything and going back to your family will only be troublesome. I know you will say they have never found out but I don't want to risk it."
Before Barton could argue, Fury's last words stopped him.
"I will let you go today but the next time will be after a long time and Andrew they will not be able to continue to help you. I will leave a Quinjet to you even if you refuse to join but I hope you can help us in dire situations. It won't take long for them to identify who you are and once they do, they will use any means to get to you… Be careful. You can all go now," Fury finished what he wanted to say and got back to his work.
Andrew disappeared as he used Bend Time and Blink to get back to the jet.

Hey Guys!!
I know its been a long time since I released a chapter and I am sorry for that. I should have given an update but I was not allowed to look at a screen for sometime.
Even now, I was only given short duration to do so.
It was not Red Eye but an allergy that got into my eye and we are yet to still find out what I am allergic to.
I will release 1 Chapter for the next few weeks till I find out what I the problem is.
I hope you can forgive me for the late release of this Chapter and 1 chapter release for the next few weeks.

I might edit this chapter but I will leave that to you as I wrote this in a bit of a hurry.
