Chapter 16: Father-in-Law

Watching Zane's somewhat embarrassed figure, Lorna, who was initially in a shy state, couldn't help but burst into laughter with a "puchi" sound. She silently placed down the kitchen knife she had been hiding in her hand.

In the United States, life can be challenging without legal status. It's difficult to find a decent job or rent a place to live. If not for her, Lorna would have no choice but to resort to stealing. A part-time job could easily provide her with enough to eat and wear.
