Chapter 95: Chapter 95: Spiders Always Take the Unconventional Route

"Ugh!"

Green Goblin, clutching his chest, staggered through the corridors of the Osborn Tower.

The floor he was on was the high level where his office was located, and normally, no one could enter.

His steps floated, blood dripping from his shoulder.

The once shiny green armor now looked battered and pockmarked.

His original plan was just to deal with Gwen, but he didn't expect Spider-Man to suddenly appear.

Even more unexpected was that Spider-Man turned out to be Peter Parker!

*Cough!*

Coughing, he pushed open the door with force.

Intense pain assaulted his nerves, saliva dripping from his mouth, and he looked completely disheveled.

"I can't... I can't let them win, I can't let them..."

Staggering, he reached the center of the room, trembling as he reached out and tore off the mask on his face.

Moaning, he continuously expressed his unwillingness, "I haven't lost yet, I haven't lost."

Approaching the secret room in the room, he flicked the switch, attempting to retrieve the "Human Enhancement Serum" inside.

The "Human Enhancement Serum" not only enhanced his physical abilities but also healed his injuries.

Of course, the side effects were evident. Another soul born within him had completely taken over his body.

At this moment, his mind was completely controlled by the soul of another demon.

Standing in front of the safe, he held the "Human Enhancement Serum" in his hand, breathing heavily.

But before he could swallow the serum, the door of the room was suddenly pushed open.

With the door opening, the dim light from the corridor also seeped in halfway.

Harry stood at the door, looking at Norman Osborn, covered in green armor and in a sorry state, dumbfounded.

Not having seen Norman's face clearly, he didn't know it was his father.

Thinking that his father might have been attacked by the monster in front of him, Harry reacted angrily and questioned, "Who are you? What have you done to my father?"

Upon hearing Harry's voice, Norman Osborn turned around in astonishment, revealing a face that completely stunned Harry.

"Harry!"

Norman Osborn's eyes emitted a chilling red light as he gazed at his son.

"Dad?"

Harry asked incredulously, "Is it... you?"

He couldn't believe that the monster in front of him could be his father.

"Harry, close your eyes, 'herbivore'!"

Norman Osborn whispered the word "herbivore."

According to Dr. Warren's key word hypnosis therapy for Harry, just saying the word "herbivore" could hypnotize him into sleep.

"This..."

Although Harry wanted to ask Norman Osborn why, he immediately felt a wave of fatigue washing over him.

His eyelids fought each other, and leaning against the nearby wall, he quickly fell to the ground asleep.

Watching Harry fall asleep on the ground, the Green Goblin turned satisfactorily and injected himself with the "Human Enhancement Serum" in one go.

"No matter what, I won't fail like this!"

*Whoosh!*

Gwen shot her web into the sky.

The two rushed to the Osborn Tower.

Gwen's web stuck to the nearby buildings, carrying her away from the original spot.

The alleys she swung through were remote, with few pedestrians.

Peter asked her, "Do you always take the unconventional route like this, Gwen?"

"Of course."

Gwen still hadn't fully recovered from the shock of Peter being Spider-Man.

It felt like she was still dreaming, but it wasn't a bad dream.

Lost in her thoughts, she turned to Peter, who could fly without webs, and said, "You know, Peter, spiders are always so amazing. They exist in every corner of the earth, including your bathroom."

"Although they have a bad reputation, their adaptability is remarkable. They always manage to survive against all odds. Anyone who tries to squash them will tell you one thing: they always take the unconventional route."

Gwen had already told Peter about being bitten by a spider.

Although Peter already knew, he pretended to be hearing it for the first time.

Like a suppressed chatterbox, she couldn't help but confide in Peter about her feelings as Spider-Woman.

"Do you know what it feels like to fly, Peter? It's like riding the coolest roller coaster in the world, a new experience every time, and you don't even have to wait in line."

Gwen swung her web to the top of a tall building, then swiftly plummeted downward.

In the moment before landing, she shot her web from her wrist again, narrowly pulling herself back up.

"Okay, I admit I may have gone too far."

Gwen swung next to Peter, now behaving, and said somewhat embarrassedly, "But now, we need to focus on the task at hand. We must catch the Goblin, I mean, Norman Osborn."

Peter didn't say anything, just hugged Gwen and transformed the cape on his back into wings.

The wings spread out instantly and vibrated upwards, enveloping both of them in an airstream.

Holding Gwen, he flew towards the Osborn Tower at the fastest speed.

"Maybe this is the fastest way."

Peter glanced down at the now docile Gwen and said.

At first, Gwen wanted to struggle, but then she found that it wasn't so bad.

She didn't speak, resting her head against Peter's chest.

Although it felt like an illusion, she seemed to hear two heartbeats.

*Swoosh!*

The glass of the Osborn Tower shattered, and Peter and Gwen crashed through, appearing in Osborn's office.

Norman Osborn, who had just injected the "Human Enhancement Serum," heard the sound of glass breaking and turned to see the two Spider-Men before him.

Although Gwen was initially shocked, she had now calmed down.

Taking a deep breath, she said to Osborn, "Norman Osborn, you still have your own consciousness, right? You're human, not a demon controlling your mind."

Although this guy was despicable, he was Harry's father, and she wanted to try to save him.

"Kill you, suck your blood, and take your genes."

At this point, Norman Osborn's mind had been taken over by another soul parasitic within him.

With crimson eyes fixed on Peter, his expression became fierce.

"Parker, like me, you also have a soul parasitic within you. It will drag you into hell, into the cycle of reincarnation."

The Green Goblin stared at Peter, speaking viciously, "Why oppose me? We are of the same kind!"

*Bang!*

Before he could finish his words, he was hit by a punch and heavily knocked back.
