The one who looked at Gon and Sullivan sparing with each other was actually the grandma.
Her name is Mikage Freecss.

Gon was very happy. This is the first time someone can fight with him and even beat him. He knew that Sullivan tried to help him improve.

Sullivan heard Gon compliment him could only smile before speaking.
"Is that so? then we will continue to spar with each other from now on but I think we should stop today. Look like sis has already finished her research."
Gon nodded and agree with Sullivan. He felt pain all over his body. He tried to stay on his two feet but was unsuccessful. He sat down on the ground breathing heavily. He doubted even he couldn't hit Sullivan a single time. He should be a little out of breath.
But he was still the same as he was.

Hermione smiled brightly at Sullivan. She now finished what she was doing. and show him what she got.

She held glass tubes with blood-red liquid and yellow-light liquid.
"This one is a healing potion it can stop bleeding and heal light and medium wound this one is a stamina potion it as its name side it can help us recovery stamina and not only that it helps our muscle to relax. these two could be useful when we got injured or too tired to do anything."
Hermione also had another potion but she still need to develop it. She whisper to Sullivan if he could keep it in his guild treasury and to their delight he could.
"It's midday now we should go back to have lunch. Mito-san said that she prepared the signature dishes for us I couldn't wait"
Sullivan spoke to Gon and Hermione.
Gon now becoming a guide to lead them out of the forest. Before Gon leads them. Hermione gave him potions. He drank it without a second thought. Hermione couldn't help it anymore and started to lecture this innocent boy the common sense.
But the boy shut Hermione up with his innocent eyes. and the way of talk no just that any protagonist had.
He said that he believe that they mean no harm to him.
Hermione could only shake her head before speaking with Sullivan. She told him that they should take care of him when they went to the hunter exam together.
Sullivan agreed.
The three of them then went to the house. Mito had already finished cooking lunch.
The signature dishes of Whale island of course was seafoods.
It was very delicious. Sullivan looked at Mito with stars in his eyes.
"Marry me please!"
Hermione and Gon choke on their food. They immediately look at Sullivan.
"What are you speaking Sol. Please forgive him he wasn't right in his mind"
Hermione apologized to Mito in his stead.
Mito only smiled. She shook her head before speaking.
"No need to apologize Hermione-san. This must mean that he like my food so I take it as a compliment."
After having lunch together. Mito went back to work. the grandma chilling with her day. while the three were touring around and doing whatever they wanted.
Sullivan and Hermione will stay the night at Gon's house until the ship that will lead them to Dolle Harbor for the preliminary phases of the Hunter Exam arrived.
Gon still had to pass Mito's test before he could come along with them.
The ship will arrive at Whale Island around a week from now. Sullivan and Hermione had the time for each other as they had wished.
Sullivan wanted to see how Gon will catch the fish. So he went with him every day to catch the king of the swamp and after that, they will spar with each other.
They spend their time on Whale island like that until the time has come.
