Chapter 12: Travelling
"What were you both talking about, so secretly?" Thor asked after we exited the chambers.
"Oh, nothing much. Its not a secret or something. He was just asking about how I got my powers and thought that the topic was sensitive to me, so he asked you to stay outside," James lied with a straight face.
"How did you get those?" Thor asked innocently.
"I just awakened them at the moment of life and death while you were fighting the Destroyer," James said.
Thor smiled and nodded his head feeling great that his curiosity was satisfied.
"So how are we going to Nida... something," James asked.
"Just as how we came here," Thor replied.
"Wait can't we go through spaceship or whatever you guys call it. I saw a lot of them while walking on that bridge," James requested.
"Then it will take 4-5 hours to reach Nidavellir," Thor replied.
"Well today is Saturday and tomorrow is Sunday, I got a lot of time on my hands," James smiled with a hint of excitement.
"I had no idea that you were so excited to travel via the spaceship. Wait here a bit, let me make some arrangements," Thor said and flew off.
Within a minute he was back flying in a spaceship and soon landed near James.
James hopped in and again they flew off in the direction of Nidavellir at great speed.
As they travelled James talked with Thor while admiring the beautiful view outside.
While they had travelled half the distance, suddenly the warrior of Asgard who was driving the Spaceship suddenly said to Thor," We are getting a distress call from nearby Spaceships belonging to Asgard. What are your orders?"
Thor commanded without hesitation," Fly towards them."
Soon as they reached close to the place from where they had received the signal, Thor exclaimed,"Vanaheim."
As they entered Vanaheim, they saw a large battle happening below. About 50 Asgardian soldiers were surrounded by hundreds of weird looking people fighting a life and death battle.
The area was encompassed by a dense forest and there were few tents and airships on the plain land surrounded by the forest. This plain land in between the forest area was devoid of any trees and covered up to a distance of approximately half a mile.
"Keep it in the air," Thor ordered the warrior flying the airship and looked towards James and grinned," Lets have some fun."
After saying that he asked the warrior to open the door of the spaceship and instantly jumped off in middle of the enemies.
James just viewed his information panel.

"Time to level up," James smiled with excitement and leaped off the spaceship. Using the Deva Path ability, he flew near the enemies.
He flew towards the outer circle of enemies instead of appearing in the middle like Thor. The reason being, he wanted to test his Level 3 physical strength.
He landed in front of a the alien like person having a weird helmet and threw a punch towards his chest without any warning. That alien failed to react quickly and was punched squarely on his chest covered with armour.
Just as James punch landed on that man the armour was instantly destroyed, while he was sent flying backwards near the forest area away from the people who were fighting.
James was not totally unscathed as his fist was bleeding. However no bones of his fist were broken, He had just received a minor injury to the muscles which head healed within a second while using the regenerative ability of his physical body.
James without any further ado teleported towards that man and once again directed his punch towards that man's face, who was trying to stand up.
That man had just received a minor injury due to being thrown backwards, as all the impact of punch was minimised by the armour he had been wearing earlier, which was now broken into pieces.
Now seeing the punch coming towards his face, although feeling a little faint, he crossed his arms in front of his face to block the terrifying punch.
But all his attempts were futile as that person's arms along with his head were blown off.
"Fuuuccc**k," James swore loudly looking at his hand filled with that man's blood and his body which had fallen before him.
James almost puked everything he had eaten earlier this morning, but his strong physical body prevented him from doing so.
He instantly used the Deva ability on his arm in order to remove all the blood and dirt.
This was the first time he had killed a person. Although that man was an alien, but still it counted as James's first kill.
However James didn't feel anything after killing him. Neither regret, nor guilty, also not any pleasure. James himself was surprised by how calm he was after his first kill.
After mulling over it for a few seconds he let it go and opened his information panel.

'Just 0.01 point per ability, that means total 0.03 experience points. Well it was expected, that guy was just too weak,' James closed his information panel and decided to try his Deva Path abilities and his newly unlocked ability Planetary Devastation.
James used the Deva path ability and pulled five of the alien who were trying to attack the Asgardian soldiers and threw them in the direction of the forest at great force. Before even they crashed into the forest he knew they would be anything but dead.
'The force and strength of my Deva ability has increased greatly too and also the chakra consumption of this ability has also reduced as compared to before. As for the cooldown period has been reduced to 3 seconds and maximum of 10 seconds,' James concluded after an observation.
Even though he knew all this after he had levelled up the Deva ability to Level 3. But still it felt better to understand the improvements in actual fights.
'Lets increase my combat experience,' James decided and launched himself towards the enemies.
