Chapter 225: Chapter 225: The troublemaker cat (Edited)

Professor McGonagall didn't care much about the fight between Fluffy and Kanaloa, after all, she hadn't heard Fish encouraging the fight.

The reason she went so far as to hold Fish responsible was simply so that Fish would calm down for the night.

Although the murderer had not been seen since the attack on Mrs. Norris, and Dumbledore was still following Fish on the sly, like an old mother, Professor McGonagall was still concerned for Fish's safety.

So now, when she gets the chance, she goes out and punishes him to keep him quiet at night.

As for Dumbledore's plan to follow Fish and use his keen senses to find some clues?

That's none of my business!

Compared to the cat's safety, he didn't care if Fish could find anything.

But Professor McGonagall knew she couldn't punish Fish for a whole semester, and the key was to find the supposed successor to the Chamber of Secrets.

But she wanted to put it off as long as possible, because after all, Fish was less likely to be attacked with fewer overnight trips.

Fish didn't understand Professor McGonagall's concern and argued, "What does Fish have to do with this? it's Fluffy and Kanaloa fighting!"

?(●φдφ●)?

Of course, Fish preferred not to mention that he had encouraged the two giant beasts to fight, but the others couldn't understand what Fluffy and Kanaloa were saying anyway.

"Who told you to bring Fluffy to meet with the giant squid?"

Professor McGonagall even opted to be unreasonable in punishing Fish, pinching his cheeks again before pulling him by the arm towards the castle, "Anyway, starting tomorrow, you're grounded for three days!"

"Nya! Minerva, you big meanie!"

?(●`д′●)?

For Fish, the punishment was no big deal, since he had the privilege anyway, but he was so busy looking for Mrs. Norris's attacker that he didn't want to get caught up in the punishment business.

If his attempts to transform hadn't been so unsuccessful, Fish would have wanted to fight Professor McGonagall again by now.

But after assessing the strength of the two, the self-conscious kitten relented and let Professor McGonagall drag him back with a growl.

...

The three days of punishment passed quickly, and for Fish it was no different than normal, except that Professor McGonagall was watching him.

And about the clues to the Chamber of Secrets, Fish has never been able to find it, and the impatient kitten has already planned to give up.

As soon as Professor Sprout's mandrake had matured, he could revive Mrs. Norris and ask her, so, after two more days of perseverance, Fish headed back to the Forbidden Forest.

Similar to Fish's idea, the subject of the Chamber of Secrets, which had been a hot topic for some time, had receded from the rest of the Hogwarts students.

And to replace this topic, in addition to the shocking battle of giant beasts by the Black Lake a while back, there is also the upcoming Hogwarts Quidditch Cup.

With Malfoy and the rest of the Slytherin players putting on a show, the whole school knew that this year everyone was equipped with Nimbus 2001s.

Students from the other three Houses were furious about this, so recently they all made a concerted effort to cheer on Gryffindor, the previous champions.

But the Slytherins don't care.

In the past they had been targeted by the other three Houses, but they had still been Quidditch champions for years.

Now, with the seven 2001 Nimbus in their hands, they wouldn't even know how they were going to lose.

None of this had anything to do with Fish, of course, and for some reason he didn't have much interest in Quidditch, even though Professor McGonagall had told him stories about how popular and respected Quidditch players were.

Was Fish lacking in love? heck!

(〃`3′〃)

...

Soon it was Saturday again, the day of the first Quidditch match, and most of the Gryffindor students were on the pitch, cheering Harry and the others on.

Only Fish was resting in his dormitory, idly fiddling with a pot of dancing grass that sat at the foot of his bed.

Normally, Fish wouldn't have minded going to the field to cheer Harry on, but today the weather was sweltering and humid, with thunder in the sky, and from Fish's experience, it was going to rain before long, so he wasn't going to go out to suffer.

Sure enough, it wasn't long before a pea-sized raindrop fell from the sky and hit the bedroom window, making a cracking sound.

Fish, in cat form, jumped onto the window sill and found a place to crouch down and watch the rain.

After watching the rain for a while, Fish hopped back off the windowsill and headed for the Gryffindor Common Room.

There was no one in the Common Room, which was mostly occupied, so Fish opened a music box and dropped the golden snitch into his pocket. Accompanied by the cheerful music, it fluttered into the Common Room.

After playing for a while, Fish transformed into his cat-man form and picked up his copy of the "Feline World".

He never gave up the idea of becoming a black-footed cat, and as he read about it, he remembered his experience of becoming a clouded leopard.

The clouded leopard form had been awakened when Fish had fought a group of large spiders and had wanted to get bigger quickly because he wasn't strong enough.

Only after he had given up most of his spells was he able to transform in battle.

The black-footed cat is much more powerful than the clouded leopard just in terms of hunting ability, regardless of size.

So.

I'm going to hunt mice and birds in the Forbidden Forest?

Fish turned his gaze toward the Forbidden Forest.

In addition to the magical creatures in the Forbidden Forest, there were also ordinary snakes, insects, and rats, and most of them were not very intelligent, so Fish had no psychological problems catching them.

Fish closed his book and pulled out his wand.

Obviously, it wasn't a good time to go hunting in the Forbidden Forest, but he had been practicing his transfiguration skills for a long time.

(●φωφ●)つ━☆*.

Waving his wand at an ornament in the Common Room, Fish transformed it into a rat no bigger than himself, but not satisfied with that, he waved his wand a few more times, creating three rats and two pigeons before returning to his original form and chasing them around the Common Room.

Although Fish did not use any spells during the hunt, his own physical qualities were far superior to those of a normal cat, so he was able to catch all the "prey" he had conjured up in short order.

Noticing that this was ineffective, Fish thought for a moment and then gave his prey a slap with [Leopard's Swiftness] and then let them go.

The prey, enhanced by Fish, had increased their escape speed, making it extremely difficult for Fish to hunt.

As a result, Fish was unable to find the key to transform into a black-footed cat, but instead made a mess in the Common Room.

"Nya..."

Fish looked around the messy Common Room, cocked his head to one side and hesitated for a moment....

Then he ran to his dormitory to sleep.

Of course he could have restored the messy Common Room with a spell or something, but....

No need.

Anyway, Professor McGonagall wouldn't be coming to check the Common Room, and at night, naturally, Comey and the others would come to clean up the Common Room.

So Fish didn't mind at all.

When the Gryffindors returned to the Common Room, they were greeted by a scene that looked as if a typhoon had passed through.

It was a scene Professor McGonagall had seen before, and the Weasleys had been lucky enough to see it a few times, but the rest were actually seeing the true destructive power of.... a rampaging Fish for the first time.
