Chapter 9: Predator Becomes Prey
[time skip 7 days, its currently nighttime]
Byron can be seen racing through a darker looking forest at inhuman speeds. A Silhouette of a oversized lion looking creature can be seen in close pursuit. I is all black with a blood red horn, demonic eyes, and a runic design on it.
*heavy breathing* ' I should not have come here!!! the monsters here are on another level compared to the other forest...' as Byron's figure races inbetween the trees she slams her gauntlet's spike into a tree, instantly losing most of her momentum and almost toppling the tree.
The giant lion looking creature can't stop in time and goes right past Byron at breakneck speeds. It finally stops, looking back it can't seem to see Byron. The large lion looks all around the area unable to see where Byron went.
Suddenly the wind blows in the direction of the lion, filling its nostrils with Byron's scent. It notices how close it seems even though it can't see her. With a deep growl it swipes at the air in front of it, the mirage which made Byron invisible shatters and she gets sent flying through a tree.
Blood splatters out of her mouth. Onto the ground, franticly thinking about what to do and how to escape from this situation she realizes she can use the wind to her advantage.
She gets up and sprints down wind where the lion won't be able to smell her. It realizes what she is doing and runs after her in hot pursuit. With her new realm of Muscle Refinement 5 she can keep up with this beast. But it has much more experience fighting.
Suddenly in the middle of the beast's pursuit, it runs into a tree. The tree itself was hidden by Byron's mirage. Momentarily stunned, the beast stumbles. As if she teleported, Byron was suddenly in front of the beast.
With a swift and powerful strike she slams one of its eyes out. With a Roar from the pain the beast leaps backwards. Looking around, it can't see Byron or any trees in a 25 foot radius(7.6m). All hidden with her technique.
Noticing this peculiar ability the beast starts to sniff the air... but it can't find her! The wind is blowing away from it, so she has to be somewhere down wind. It can't find her though, and he is half blind. Knowing it can't win it goes to sprint down wind hoping to overtake the grounds where it can smell her.
Out of nowhere a tree appears right in front of it, It rapidly slows down to a halt. But when digging its claws into the ground to stop, one partially goes through the tree. It was fake the whole time! As if on que a Byron materializes in front of it to punch the beast's only remaining eye.
It rapidly swipes at her, but its massive sharp claws go right through her. That was an illusion too! Suddenly it smells her behind it, turning around at a fast speed it feels a powerful punch connect to its skull, slamming her fist right into the side of the beast's face.'
Ripping out a chunk from the side of its mouth she disappears, hiding downwind once more. The beast doesn't know who or what is real anymore. It has been backed into a corner, but it won't go down without a fight.
Rapidly swinging its tail and arms all around hoping to make contact with something it Smashes a tree's base. The tree collapses on top of the beast and momentarily traps it. Taking this opportunity Byron Quickly dashes over to the beast's face while invisible.
Taking this chance she Slams her fist into the beast's working eye. Now it fully can't see, it's a helpless beast flailing to prolong its imminent demise. Byron, staying down wind seeing the ever so powerful beast flail helplessly before her eyes.
With a grin on her face, and a massive scratch on her back she sneaks up behind the beast. Jumping on its back, she slams a fist into its spine.
*SNAP*
The beast's spinal chord was snapped, and half of it's body has been fully immobilized. Swiftly dodging its best attempts at swiping at her, she makes her way to its neck.
*BAM*
Suddenly its all over. The beast went limp.
[Killed Demon Lion, (uncommon) grade achievement +100 achievement points]
"WOOOOOHOOOO YEAAAAAAAAA" Screaming out loud with excitement, Byron lies down on the ground and stays there catching her breath for 2-3 minutes.
She knows she now has 730 achievement points total. This is her first kill in the new more dangerous forest, but throughout all 7 days she had good progress killing the horned rabbits. Sadly she couldn't bring the crystals with her.... because the damn outfit has no pockets and she can only store system items in the inventory...
'If I keep killing these demon lions, I think I can easily get a cultivation technique! Maybe I could even save up for an uncommon.... well that would take a while... good idea though as these new enemies give lots of achievement points' planning her future path based off of the achievement points from this.

'3000 ACHIVEMENT POINTS!? I have to do this no matter the difficulty' worried about the difficulty she considered waiting, but she got impatient for the achievement points and she selects the accept button.
'These next 10 days are gonna get hectic pretty quickly' Closing the quest menu and opening her inventory, she calls out her house and places it down to cultivate in.
