Sophie exited her room to see her parents sitting on a chair, facing her room direction while her sister was standing in front of her.
'What the heck.' She flinched as she thought.
"Just what happened in your school that you started crying as soon you came home. Who was the bastard that dared to bully you." Her sister Emma grabbed Sophie's shoulders and started shaking her with fire in her eyes.
"Calm d.o.w.n, Emma." Sophie who was shaking like a leaf barely managed to mumble a sentence.
"Calm down, Emma. Look at your sister, she is uncomfortable with your antics." Her parents shouted simultaneously.
Emma pouted unhappily as she stopped shaking Sophie and Sophie felt her soul was barely hanging by a thread after the shaking session she go through.
"Let's talk." Her father Kevin spoke as he pointed his finger towards the chair adjacent to him.
After Sophie sat there for a few minutes, Kevin started his questioning in a calm tone.
"So, just what happened in school no, let me change the question, did something happen or is anyone bothering you in school."
Hearing Kevin's question, Emma pouted again as she murmured silently.
"But I asked her the same thing."
Seemingly hearing her words Kevin replied to Emma,
"You asked her violently while I am asking her calmly."
"Hmph." Unable to refute her father's words Emma turned her head.
A few moments of silence ensued before Sophie decided to open her mouth.
"As this is my first time checking answer copy, I got too stressed." Sophie lied through her teeth.
"I don't think someone can cry by checking answers copy. Tell me the truth." Simar spoke sure that her daughter was lying.
Sophie sighed, already expecting this situation, "Some kids were behaving disrespectfully to me in class today and the exam matter, so my stress increased. That's it."
Sophie told a half lie to her parents as there were kids like that but that wasn't the reason behind her emotional outburst.
"I told you already, dad." Emma butted in their conversation.
"Just send me their pics. I will discipline them personally." Emma spoke as flexed her toned biceps. She could say such things with confidence cause she won the national championship in kickboxing.
Looking at Emma's menacing face, her parents laughed. Simar said to Emma teasingly,
"But won't your teacher Dhruv break your legs and expel you from his gym if he found out."
Hearing her teacher's name, Emma froze and spoke timidly, "I can't discipline them, Sophie. But you can send them to our gym."
Looking at Emma's sudden timid behavior Simar and Kevin started laughing harder causing her to pout.
Meanwhile, Sophie was pretending to smile to avoid suspicion. She thought as she looked at her happy family,
'I am sure of my decision now. Well, looks like the thing I am best at is lying to my family.'
Looking at her silent daughter, Simar asked, "Feeling hungry."
"Yeah, I feel like elephants are running in my stomach."
"Tell them to wait some more. Food is coming soon." Simar spoke as she headed towards the kitchen.
"Don't worry, I will talk to your principal about it," Kevin spoke as he patted her head lovingly.
"Thank you, dad." She once again pretended to smile.
After Sophie ate her fill, she hurriedly left the dining room.
"Blergh" Once inside her room bathroom she vomited everything causing her to sit on the floor as she didn't eat anything since morning.
'I don't think they are suspicious now.' Sophie thought as she picked up her phone to delete that murder evidence. On her phone, there was a notification from discord curious she opened the app.

Kevin and Simar were standing outside Sophie's room with their ears on the door eavesdropping.
"I heard the sound of vomiting," Simar said to her husband as they both distanced themselves from Sophie's room to continue talking.
"She could fool her sister Emma but I was sure that she was lying through her teeth." She continued.
"What can we do? She is an adult now so we can't force her to tell the truth." Kevin sighed ruefully.
"But...."
"Let's not force her. She will tell us herself when she is comfortable." Kevin interrupted her before she could say anything.

Sophie screamed internally. Her plan went astray as soon as she remembered that person.
'Now what the fuck am I supposed to do.' She thought as pulled her hair out. Just like that, she fell asleep cursing herself.
