Chapter 1: Origins
It's a boring day in the city of Tokyo. My names Taki, aged 23, I was born in this city, and I havent left since. My lifes daily commute is flashing by yet again. Wake up at 6:00, Breakfast, I catch the train to work by 8:00, work 9 hours till 5:00, catch the train home, make dinner and then sleep away the days built up fatigue. Life's always been this gray for me, I've had the same lifestyle for the last 5 years. Nothing but work, work, work and work. I lay awake at night, thinking "is this all life has to offer, surely theres more to it than this..."
The little devil on my shoulder knows that theres not.
"you'll work this dead end grocery business till the day that you die" he whispers lightly into my ear. I'm inclined to agree.
