Chapter 22: First Confession
'Listen, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have dragged this name issue for this longer but I actually forgot about it. I was a bit confused when you said Sabrina, thinking that you've mistakenly sent me that msg. Then, it got to me that I haven't yet cleared it. I'm really sorry.', she replied.
'Alina. Do you even remember my full name? Just tell me my name, then I'll believe that you actually are sorry and take me as someone close to you.', came his reply after a 10 minute gap.
Oh shit! He said his name was Sehban ___ Khan. I dont remember his full name...
'Sehban Khan. I can't remember your middle name.'
'At least you still remember my surname.'
'I already feel guilty.', said Alina honestly.
'It's fine. Let's chat when you go back home. Enjoy your time with your cousins. Bye.'
'Are you busy? We can chat...'
'Look, I'm not a freebie. I too have a family and work to do. Goodbye.'
"Will you out that damn phone inside your bag or I throw it away somewhere?", Shouted Sameeha, Alina's closest cousin.
I think he got angry. Anyways, I'll see him later.
***At Sehban's place***
Why did she have to lie to me? That too about her name. And here I was ready to confess my love for her. I better sleep.
***Alina's home***
"Aunty, it was so much fun. You know, Nabeel and I and Umair were in one box and Alina was stuck in the other one with two strangers. It was a sight to see. She was scared like hell. And guess what she was actually seeing us for the whole ride.", Explained Sameeha in between her laughter.
"Mom, that was first ever Ferris wheel ride. I was scared and the other girls were shouting and talking to their friends on ground and I was just looking at my feet and seeing you guys. I'm never riding a Ferris wheel again.", Alina said with a pout.
"And I'm going to sleep even if it's only 8 because I'm very tired. Goodnight everyone.", added Alina before going to her room.
'Heya! Sehban. Are you there?'
'Yeah, hi.' came his shortest ever reply.
'I just came back home. How are you?'
Today's only the 4th day and I feel like he's my best friend since forever. I can't get too close to him so soon.
'I'm good. I wanted to tell you something. I hope you're free and won't go leaving the conversation in middle.'
'Yeah. I just told my mom that I'll sleep. So, she won't call me now. What is it? Everything good?'
'Alina, I love you.'
Oh! So you want to get even with me for my name lie.
'I know this is a joke, and I don't like such jokes. Don't ever say such thing again.'
'It's not a joke. I'm serious for you, Alina. I don't really care about that name issue because it was just the name that you lied about and nothing.'
'I don't believe it.'
'How am I supposed to make you believe?'
'I don't know. Let's just stop talking. We shouldn't have started talking in the first place. So... Take care. Bye.'
It's good to not get in the mess of a relationship.
'And yeah, don't tell Uroosa about our texts.i haven't td her anything about us talking. Bye.', she sent two texts in a minute.
'Ok,ok. Alina. Let's just stay friends and not stop talking. Please. I haven't ever gotten myself a friend so pure like you. Please don't stop texting me.'
'I'm sorry but I think it's better to stop.'
"Alina, don't sleep yet. We're going to the neighbour's house. Some small get together is what they held and we're invited.", Shouted her mom.
'And I'm going out to the neighbours house. Phone will be in my room only. So don't text or call unless you want me to be grounded. Bye.'
