Chapter 12: USJ Invasion
*The next day*
"For today's hero training," Aizawa explains in his usual voice, "It's turned into a class with three instructors, All Might, and me, and one more person."
I yawn while thinking, 'Turned into? Something changed?'
Sero shouts out, "Excuse me! What will we be doing?"
Aizawa holds out a place card with the words "Rescue," written in bold blue letters, "Disasters, shipwrecks and everything in between. It's rescue training."
'Oh, Rescue training? This might be interesting. Bungee Gum should be pretty good for this.'
Aizawa continues, "You can decide if you want to wear your costume or not this time," he clicks a button and our costumes pop out of the shelf, "Some of you may have costumes that limit your abilities. The training will take place off-campus, so we are taking a bus. That is all, Start getting ready."
Everyone stands up and starts getting changed.
We all organize in front of the bus, I sigh and take on my new role of Class Representative, "Uhm, just head inside quickly. Don't push each other and stuff like that."
Everyone sits down and Aizawa drives off to wherever we are heading. Meanwhile, my classmates make small talk and get more familiar with each other.
I am putting my head against a pillow of Bungee Gum with headphones in trying to relax, when I hear something, "Your quirk is like All Mights."
'Huh?'
I take off my headphones and listen in to the conversation in front of me. Asui and Izuku were talking and at the mention of the similarities between All Might's and Izuku's quirk, Izuku immediately leans back and starts speaking frantically.
"Y-Y-You think so? But I… uh…"
'No way…'
But Kirishima shuts down her argument, "Wait a sec, Tsu, All Might doesn't get hurt when he uses his. They just kind of look the same."
I mentally smack my palm against my forehead, 'How could I forget something so simple? That doesn't add up with his quirk. But then why did he panic? There has to be some kind of connection.'
They continue talking, but they are no longer on the topic of Izuku's quirk, so I relax a little, but I keep one headphone out in case anything else is brought up.
Kirishima looks around, "Well, if you are talking flashy and strong, It's gotta be Bakugo and Todoroki, right?"
Bakugo looks up at the mention of his name, but Todoroki ignores it.
Everyone else agrees with him, and Asui speaks up, "That's true, but don't you think that Shiro's quirk is cool as well. It's not flashy but it's extremely practical and can be used in so many situations. Plus Bakugo gets mad a lot so I don't think he'll be popular."
Bakugo immediately stands up, "HAAA!?!? The hell you say!"
They argue for a bit until Aizawa shuts them up, "Stop messing around, we are here."
We stop in front of a large dome and in front of us is another person, in a… large, puffy… spacesuit?
Izuke proceeds to grace us with his hero knowledge, "It's the space hero, Thirteen! The gentlemanly hero who has rescued tons of people from disaster."
Thirteen steps to the side and gestures for us to follow, "Let's go inside without delay."
We all bow "Look forward to working with you!"
We walked inside and met with a huge surprise. Several areas with different types of situations. A mountain area, a jungle, a lake, building ruins, and two colored domes.
Kirishima, "WOAH! It looks like USJ!"
AN: At first I was confused, but he meant Universal Studio Japan
Thirteen proceeds to explain, "A shipwreck, a landslide, a fire, a windstorm, etcetera. It is a training ground that I made with different types of accidents and disasters. It's called the "Unforeseen Simulation Joint," or USJ for short!"
Everyone is expressionless, as we all think the same thing, 'It really is USJ…'
Aizawa walks up to Thirteen, "Where is All Might? He was supposed to meet us here."
Thirteen walks forwards and whispers something into Aizawa's ear.
I sigh and remember yesterday's events with Present Mic, 'Why are they all so secretive about All Might?'
Aizawa sighs, "Well, it can't be helped. Shall we begin?"
He moves to the side and allows Thirteen to speak, "Well, before we begin… let me say one thing… er… or two, or three… or five… six…"
'Just tell us already, my god!'
Thirteen raises his or her hand, "Everyone, I am sure you are aware of my Quirk, Blackhole. I can suck up anything and turn it to dust."
'That sounds pretty ominous. That would be hard to counter though…'
Izuku speaks up, "You've been able to use your quirk to save countless people from all types of disasters, right?"
Thirteen agrees, "Yes, but it is a power that can kill easily. Some of you have quirks like that, right? In superhuman society, personal quirks have been certified, and stringently regulated, so that doesn't seem to be a problem at first glance. However please do not forget-"
She goes on to explain that many quirks are potentially very dangerous to people and stuff like that. She then goes on to explain how the previous classes have taught us lessons about our quirks, and that here we will learn how to control our quirk for rescue purposes.
"That is all, thank you for listening."
My classmate's cheer and Aizawa says, "Alright then, let's get start-"
But he gets interrupted, by "Zzztt," as the electricity goes out and a dark mass appears in front of the water fountain.
Realizing something is wrong, I quickly warn Aizawa "AIZAWA SENSEI!! THE FOUNTAIN!!"
But he was already turning and saw the dark mass a little later after I did.
His eyes widen, "Gather together and don't move! Thirteen, protect the students!"
The dark mass expands and covers the whole courtyard, Kirishima looks confused at Aizawa's and my reactions, "What is that?"
Very soon, people start walking out and walk towards us, Sero looks excited, "Oh, is this like the entrance exam, where the lesson has already started?"
A few people activate their quirks and take a few steps forward, but Aizawa stops us, "Don't Move!"
He puts on a pair of yellow goggles, "Those are villains."
Everyone's eyes widened in shock as they realized that this isn't part of the lesson. Out of all the villains, I focus on the three furthest in the back, the three people that aren't moving forwards, a lanky man with blue hair, and hands placed on different parts of his body, and a large dark blue muscular figure with a bird head and exposed brain. The third person was the smokey dark mass, which seemed to have a pair of glowing yellow eyes.
'I don't know why, but those three give real bad vibes.'
Kuro is laughing maniacally, 'Ahahaha! Let me out! Let me out! Let me out! I want to fight! I want to spill blood!!!'
My head starts to ache as I resist Kuro's attempts to take over, and I fall to my knees.
Everyone notices that something is wrong and Momo runs over, "Shiro!? What happened?! Don't tell me? Now!?"
I nod while gritting my teeth, and Momo tries to calm me down.
Aizawa sighs, "Shiro! Bring yourself together! Thirteen, start the evacuation! Also, try to call the school. These villains even had something to counteract the sensors. It's possible someone with radio-wave-type powers is interfering."
Izuku calls out, "What about you, sensei? Will you fight by yourself? Even if you erase their quirks-"
But I don't hear anything as Kuro continues to yell in my head, 'C'mon! I'll force my way out eventually! It's better in the long run for the both of us!'
'No! You'll get us killed! We can't fight against that many!'
Aizawa leaps into the courtyard and starts fighting against the villains.
He laughs even harder, 'Eheheh! WE??? Shut up, bitch! You are scared of blood! In the end, I'll be doing all the work!'
I continue my internal struggle with Kuro and Momo helps me to my feet, while we evacuate. However, we get interrupted by a dark mass that pops out of the ground.
"I won't let you."
The smokey mass towers above us, leering at us with its yellow eyes, "Nice to meet you. We are the League of Villains. It may have been presumptuous of us, but we have invited ourselves into the home of the heroes, U.A. High School, in order to have All Might, the Symbol of Peace, take his last breath."
I look up at him, 'So their objective is to kill All Might, huh? Must be hard being so popular.'
The dark mass continues, "I believe All Might should have been here. Has there been some kind of change? Well, that is neither here nor there," he spreads his mass out as if he was opening his arms, "This is the part I am to play."
Then, my mental fortitude gave way… and Kuro took over.
*Kuro POV*
I stretch my arms out and look at the ceiling, "Finally! Jesus, he's gotten stronger. It shouldn't have taken me this long."
My classmates look at me like I am crazy and even the villain in front of us looks mildly confused, "Oh yeah, you guys don't know who I am. Well, I'll introduce myself later. For now…"
A maniacal grin forms on my face and I reach into one of my pockets and draw a set of cards, "LETS PLAY!!!"
Thirteen tries to stop me, "Wait! You can't-," but I ignore her words and draw my hands back and quickly whip six cards forwards.
The villain sighs and captures the cards with its dark mass and opens another, sending my cards flying back at me, "Hehe, just as I thought. You're a walking portal. A little troubling, but you must have some kind of anchor."
I create a net of Bungee Gum and catch all my cards, "How nice of you to give them back."
Then out of the corner of my eyes, I see Bakugo and Kirishima charge forwards and attack the villain.
Bakugo throws his fist out and sparks appear, "DIE!!!"
A large explosion covers the area, and smoke blocks our vision.
Kirishima hardens and grins, "Did you consider that you'd get beaten by us before you did it?"
"Oh dear, that's dangerous," the voice of the villains could be heard as the smoke clears, "little children shouldn't be given such dangerous toys you know."
His head forms above some metal brace, "But it was expected nonetheless, even if you are students, you are excellent golden eggs."
'There!'
But Thirteen runs in front of us, "Move!"
The villain continues to talk, "My job is to scatter you all, and torture you to death!"
His smoke surrounds all of us, covering all of us in darkness, I yell out in frustration, "SHIT!!! WHERE DID YOU GO YOU BASTARD!!!"
A second later, I see the light and feel my body drop as I exit out of the portal, into the middle of a rainy street, "Tch, so I get to deal with you a lot huh?"
I quickly look around and see several faces leering at me with creepy faces. Tokoyami drops down next to me and analyzes the situation.
"Shiro, what should we do?"
I laugh as the rain falls onto my face, ignoring the fact that he called me Shiro, "Is that even a question? WE FIGHT!!!"
I draw another deck of cards, and glance at them, "Time to put these fuckers to use!
A glint of steel flashes in my hand, and the villains charge forwards. Tokoyami pulls out Dark shadow and the pair starts fighting, while I charge forwards and fight my opponents. Some dude with rocky hands charges forwards and swings his fist.
"Slow."
I duck underneath his arm and my card slices into a villain's cheek, cutting clean through as they drop to the floor screaming in pain while the taste of blood fills their mouth. While Shiro's normal cards were slightly edged, these were extremely sharp and meant for the sole purpose of combat.
AN: Because not everyone can cut bone using normal playing cards.
I step on his face while grinning at the others, "C'mon, no need to wait!"
A girl in a white hoodie yells out, "Get him! He's just a kid!"
The surrounding villain's charge and my grin grows even more, "A GROUP FIGHT! HOW NICE!!!"
A man with metal skin charges at me, attempting to tackle me, "Can't hurt me with those little knives of your boy!"
I sigh and sidestep him while tripping him. He falls face first and tries to recover, but I already have a sleeve of Bungee Gum around both of his calves.
Grabbing his wrists, I stick them in a sleeve of their own and connect to the calves, "You know, with my quirk, I can generate 474 kg of grip strength. The femur is a very strong bone that requires a lot of force to break. Unfortunately, I don't have that power, however its nearby neighbors, the Fibula and Tibia are a lot easier to break. What would happen if I- "
AN: Fibula and Tibia are the two bones in your calves
But I don't get time to finish as I am forced to dodge a spray of poison from a woman with green hair, "Well, we shall see."
I harden one side of the Bungee Gum and immediately compress it. I watch out of the corner of my eye, as he resists for a bit, but eventually, he releases his quirk and...
*SNAP*
The downward force easily snaps his bones and he screams out in agonizing pain. A few of the villains start backing off, as they realize that I won't let them off easily.
"Oy, oy, oy, this kid is insane!"
I throw a card into the thigh of the green-haired chick who tried to poison me, "I don't really like dealing with poisons."
She winces and tries to throw more poison at me, but I dash forwards and appear behind her, and slice two of my cards into her back. She falls to the ground trembling in pain, and I step on her back grinning at the other villains, making her scream out.
"C'mon, hit me! Fight me! Give me a hug!"
I slice her ankles open, preventing her from moving before getting off of her, taking a fighting stance, and attacking the people in front of me. Sidestepping a sword strike, I use the marionette mechanism to punch into the man's stomach. Unlike Kirishima, he was not able to become hard and instead goes flying as blood flies out of his mouth.
I hear a buzzing sound behind me, and I see the girl in the white hoodie, charging up a blast of electricity, "TAKE THIS YOU MOTHER FUCKER!!!"
She sends the blast flying at me, and I look at it, scoffing at her attempt at my life. I create a wall of Bungee Gum and harden it, maximizing its rubbery trait. The blast runs into me, and I feel a shock that knocks me to my knees.
'Rain huh. How lucky for her,' I shake my head and stand back up.
She looks aghast, "H-how… you took that straight on. You should be dead! I saw you fall!"
I smirk, "Well sweetie, Bungee Gum has the properties of both Rubber and Gum. Rubber happens to be one of the best insulators around."
She bares her teeth, "YOU BASTARD!!!"
She charges up another blast, but she's too slow. I dash to her side and slice off a bunch of flesh from her forearm. She screams out in pain, and the screams only intensify as the current from her blast flows back into her body.
'Oh, music to my ears.'
I slice down her calf and look at her exposed femur, "I know I said, I don't have the power to break it, but…"
Hacking into her bone with my card, I create a few cracks in it before I punch it, snapping it in half. She had passed out halfway through so there were no more screams from her.
I get off and wipe the blood off of my hands on her jacket, "I need to be more careful against electricity."
I look behind me and Tokoyami looks like he's doing fine, although he's just beating them unconscious.
Inside, Shiro is yelling at me, 'What the hell are you doing!?!?'
I shrug my shoulders, "Saving our asses."
'There are better ways to do that than BRUTALIZING THEM!!!'
I shut him out and grin at my enemies, who are looking at me with scared faces,
AN: Here is the bonus chapter, hope you enjoyed it. Kuro isn't just there to watch, as of now, he is the mentally stronger one. But when he lets loose, he could be considered mentally unstable.
This chapter has been fixed because murder... is illegal.
