After Kanoh left Tetsuya relaxed his body. I held him by the arm so he doesn't collapse. I can see his knees shacking
"Are you really going to fight him? He froze us in place with just the pressure he exerted. You were better off than me, but I could see the sweat on your neck" Tetsuya asks me with a little fear showing on his face
*Smack* I hit him on the back of the head
"Of course, I won't fight him! I'm not an idiot. I just said all that bullshit so he doesn't attack us now. I know who he is but I don't know his personality. What if he is some battle maniac?" That and I'm hoping i made a strong impression so his thoughts are to out future fight.
I did it so by some miracle he might be distracted for a split second, so the 'teams have s bigger shot at getting a drop of blood
Tetsuya just opens his mouth and gapes like a fish
"You bluffed? You Bluffed HIM!? Are you MAD!? What if he finds out?!!" He grabbed me by the shoulders and started shaking me
"Wait... You can't beat him? Right?RIGHT!? " Now he started doubting himself

"Get yourself together. This is what happens when you only fight people near your level. Puberty messed you up, you had more balls when you were younger. Then again from your reaction, I guess they shrunk.. You really are turning into a Queen arent you. Hahahaha"
"FUCK YOU! Stop messing around and be SERIOUS!!"
"Nope, 9 out of 10 he would win even if I was in my peak condition. I'm 9 years old but my physique is closer to that of a 14 teen-year-old. He is in his 30ties and in his prime. Even if I could beat him in pure skill. I would lose the fight just based on brute strength." If we were fighting with martial arts alone that is.
If I used the Animal Transformations I think I would win 1 on 1. I don't exactly play fair. One scratch on him and the poisons will do the rest.
"But, but.. haaa" Tetsuya tries to find the words but ends up slumped and sighs in defeat.
"You know what, it's fine, it's said that bastards live for a thousand years. There is no way you are dying yet. And if you aren't dying that means Kanoh lost So there is no reason for me to worry. Ha Ha Ha, I'm so smart"
I'm just starting here watching Tetsuya pace and mumble delusional outcomes. Huh? So this is what happens when teens are pushed past their limits. Good to know.
" Yeah everything will be fine, in fact, I'm going to get a girlfriend tonight. Yeah, Yeah! Positive thoughts for the win"

"Snap out of it, the fireworks are starting soon, you have an actual chance of finding a girlfriend there than having a mental breakdown here" I stare at the idiot, I don't blame him one bit, he is only a child. Taking the battle lust from someone like Kanoh? It's already good enough that he didn't pass out from the pressure Kanoh emitted.
" Well, why didn't you say so. Lets go!"

"Where were you Shinichi? One minute you are walking with us and the next you and Tetsu-kun disappear" Chibi Ran crosses her arms
"Yeah Sensei that wasn't very nice" Chibi Momo puts her hands on her hips.
Great I have two 9-year-olds pouting at me.
"We met a 'fan' and had a little chat about martial arts" Tetsuya scoffed at my comment and I elbowed him in the stomach. Thankfully he took the hint and didn't say anything.
" "A 'fan'?" "
"Yeah he was an interesting guy" I heard Tetsuya mumble 'Psychopath' under his breath, I don't know if that was for me or for Kanoh
"Well, let's go people. We might have reserved a place on the hill, but we still need to get to it. And the crowd is getting bigger and bigger, so if you don't want to push people for 20 minutes to get there. suggest you hurry up" I start walking knowing full well that they will follow me.
I need to hurry up and get there first. The hill is a great location for me to spot where Chen will be. I couldn't find out if he would stop to look at the fireworks or just continue his eating spree.
I know that there are at least 5 teams here. The one with the amateurs was taken out easily. There are definitely more, but after seeing Kanoh and the rest of the Elite Guards. They will most likely back off from the mission.
The ones that remain are the professionals and the Truly desperate people who need Cash. One drop of blood for $ 5K is a dream come true for them. Plus I pay extra if they get more than one drop. So most of them are probably going for more. I said I would pay $100K for a blood bag of Chen's blood. I don't mind spending that much if it means getting my legs back. I can always go and rob more gems and museums later on.

10 minutes later we found our spot. You could see that it was pricy. It was sectioned off from the rest. There is more than enough space for us and the bodyguards to sit there. There was even a bar. Mr. Yaorozu doesn't mess around with things like this. He once told me his motto " You must spend money to make money"
Just by people seeing his daughter here in this 'VIP spot' makes it look like he did not hesitate to spend money to make his daughter happy. That could lead to different reactions, but the general public will know that he is a doting father and have a slightly better opinion of him.
Jealous people will always be jealous so their opinions don't really matter. As for people of his standing, they will look bad if they don't do something similar. It's like a competition of who has a better public image.
Stuff like this with their children, donations, fundraisers are very common.
