Chapter 117: Goblin Attack
In the temple ruins, screaming and shouting increased as goblins flooded in, carrying crude weapons. Their bodies were green and small, their eyes menacing red. The goblins lunged and killed whichever man they could get their gnarly hands on while the women were beaten unconscious or dragged away while they screamed for help.
"Did we invite the goblins too?" Muchen humored. Deodomus scoffed. The screams of the pitiful women & the yelps of the dying men didn't urge him to act in the slightest. His eyes darted around continuously.
"They ought to have a beast king." Deodomus concluded, searching for it. "But they all look the same."
"A beast king would usually charge ahead." Muchen reasoned.
"Not a goblin one. These are shrewd creatures." Deodomus spoke. "Could be a Master realm one, but so are we."
"But it's a problem if it's a Sage realm beast king." Gyoro spoke as he strode over. The three men began scouting the area together.
"H-help us! Help us!" Someone shouted from behind. It was one of the ugly men who had been fucking Xiao. "You're cultivators! Please kill these goblins! They are coming!" The man looked over his shoulder fearfully and pointed. The goblins had filled in already.
Deodomus blinked, scouting and suddenly his heart skipped a beat.
"Where is Xiao?" He asked the man.
"G-goblins took her! We thought they'd spare us if we gave them the woman!" The man blurted out.
Deodomus swung on his feet. A sword flashed momentarily and the man fell to the ground, chopped up into 50 pieces.
"Gave-my bride to…goblins!!?" Deodomus's energy flared, billowing out like a wildfire, displaying his level 3 Master realm cultivation base.
Swoosh! He leapt at the group of men who were crawling, stumbling and fleeing toward him, in fear of goblins.
"Sword Step, 100 Swirls!" Deodomus roared and swung like a menacing soul reaper, giving the men a gruesome death. Body parts flew here and there; heads rolled, blood splattered. Deodomus' red battle armor appeared on his body as he continued the charge, reaching the goblins and starting a massacre.
Shrill beastly screams echoed all around him as goblins were turned into minced meat by his vengeful sword.
Clack-clack-clack-clack! Crossbow bolts came firing from behind him and killed a dozen goblins. Gyoro's large body sped past Deodomus and he started hammering the goblins, crushing them into meat paste.
"You look for Xiao, we'll cull the goblins!" Muchen shouted from behind. Deodomus sprinted away at once.
"Where are Hailey and Luna?" He yelled over his shoulder.
"In the rings! Unable to fight!" Muchen said and Deodomus rushed out of the temple ruins.

The goblin horde was large. There were at least 200 of them, moving continuously, shrieking and shouting. Humans' screams were dying down as their numbers plummeted. Some people had tried to get to the city walls but goblins chased them down & finished them. The women were soon nowhere to be seen; all having been taken away by the goblins.
Now, Deodomus moved in a frenzy, killing every goblin in his range. His observational technique was scouting the area but it was sound based and there was a lot of noise! He couldn't discern anything useful. He tried hard to catch a sound of Xiao's, but it was futile. He panted and looked over the screeching madness while cursing himself inwardly because his wife had been taken from right behind his back by mere beasts!
Rage oozed out of the depths of Deodomus' black heart. Never had he ever wanted to kill so badly since his brother's demise.
He summoned a spear and roared while spinning it. He sprinted all over the place; in and out of the ruins, up the creek and down the pathway towards city walls. Killing, killing, killing. Goblins and men alike, thinking that as none of these men had tried to stop these goblins from taking his wife, & they might have just been among those who were fucking her and then seeing the goblins, gave her away to save their own skins! Deodomus forgot that he had already slain that bunch of people. He just blazed through the whole area and then entered deep into the forest, leaving countless corpses behind.
Muchen and Gyoro came out of the ruins, dumbfounded at the corpses littered on the ground. Spears were erected here and there with dozens of goblin heads spiked through the shafts. A gruesome sight to behold. Human corpses were in worse conditions. Silence filled the ruins at once.
Faster and faster, Deodomus ran, using his observational technique continuously. He heard the hooting of the owls, screeching of the bats, howls and roars of numerous nocturnal creatures; but not a single sound of goblins could be heard. It was as if they had all vanished! Although Deodomus killed a large number of the horde; many of the goblins had retreated already when they procured the last female. But where could they have gone? Deodomus had no idea. He scanned the whole forest for hours. He slew whichever unfortunate nocturnal beasts came into his path. He searched high and low but he didn't find Xiao. The woman he loved, and loved to ruin; the one irreplaceable person in his life was gone without a single trace.

Xiao could feel a warm sensation in her whole body, rippling through her nerves; a pleasant sensation. It was pleasure; she recognized. It stemmed from her vagina and spread everywhere. She froze before glancing around. She was lying sideways and a goblin was fucking her speedily while grabbing her huge hips. His midget body was puny and weak but definitely his penis was larger than an average man's. Xiao could feel it moving inside her wet vagina like a fat snake slithering back and forth.

The dawn had arrived. Deodomus watched the city guards walking away. He had just told them a simple version of what transpired. The guards had been happy that Deodomus had killed so many goblins. Dozens of his spears were a monument he had created on the ruins, butt-stabbed into the ground, pointing toward the sky; their shafts fully covered with the many skewered goblin heads. The human corpses were being extracted by the city guards. Many times some of those guards looked at Deodomus' direction. They knew that only a sword & spear could have mutilated the bodies like this. Goblins carried only blunt weapons after all. But none of the guards dared question Deodomus or point fingers at him. A Master realm warrior could lead an entire country. These city guards were nothing but insects in front of Deodomus.
"Here." Muchen uttered, offering Deodomus a cup full of mead. Deodomus took it and drank silently. "The city guards said that there had been frequent killings of adventurers in the jungle lately. They hadn't been able to figure out which beasts were doing this. Turns out, it were the goblins!"
Deodomus didn't respond. His gaze was peering through the thicket of the jungle, hoping for a sign of Xiao or the damned goblins. He had spent the entire night looking for them without any success.
"Let's scout together this time." Gyoro suggested. "We all have different observational techniques. It is possible to catch a glimpse if we search together."
"…" Deodomus stayed silent. His red armor had a layer of indiscernible dried-up blood. His face was unwashed & smeared blood too. He looked like a savage barbarian. Even Gyoro with his giant intimidating body seemed harmless compared to Deodomus.
"She was taken from right behind me." Deodomus uttered. "I did not hear anything. They must have been using a support technique that muffles their sounds. Or maybe they used a technique that dulls observational techniques of others. Those goblins must have sensed us cultivators & acted cautiously. Their beast king cannot be in Sage realm. The cautiousness of it implies that it is weaker. But the fact that the goblins attacked despite our presence, and dared to lose their numbers means that they were desperate for something. They took all the women. They might be needing them for breeding."
"Excellent deduction." Muchen complemented.
"Hmm. Regardless; whichever techniques they might have used, I bet a Sage realm warrior could easily peer through it all and alert us." Deodomus added. Muchen felt a dread loom over him.
"Where was Luna when the goblins attacked?" There was anger in Deodomus' tone.
"Incapacitated, as I told you last night." Muchen replied. "She…was drunk and…"
"And horny because you had fed her aphrodisiacs?" Deodomus completed the sentence. "You can't get into a woman's panties without drugging her?"
"You asked me to turn her into a cumslut!" Muchen defended.
"Yes, I did. Surely you could feed her an antidote and make her sober within minutes of goblin attack?" Deodomus asked. Muchen fell silent.
"And where is Hailey?" Deodomus snarled.
"In my ring. Resting. She drank too much alcohol as usual." Gyoro lied while palpitating. Deodomus nodded. Hailey indeed had a drinking problem. He was just glad that she was out of harm.
Gyoro felt relieved when Deodomus didn't enquire further. After all he had raped and rendered Hailey unconscious. He and Muchen were yet to deal with her so that she won't tell on them.
"I want a weapon, Gyoro." Deodomus said after some silence. "Something that can enable me to massacre the goblins in the most brutal way." Deodomus' anger was deep.
"I'll get to it right away. You'll find me in my workshop." Gyoro said and strode away before glancing at Muchen. His silent request was acknowledged by Muchen with a nod. He'd help with Hailey's matter at the next opportunity.
"Bring Luna out & fix her. I want her to help find Xiao." Deodomus ordered. Muchen wished he could get away with Gyoro.
"Er…she's not really in the condition…" Muchen uttered. Deodomus turned to face him with an expression of incredulity.
"Well that's why you're going to fix her." Deodomus tried to be patient. Muchen fidgeted.
"I uh…" Muchen's spatial ring glowed and two cylindrical glass containers emerged, filled with some potion. One of the containers had Luna's head at the bottom, staring out lifelessly. The other container had her limbless, headless body.
"I went ahead with the experiment last night." Muchen spoke to the dumbfounded Deodomus.
"You…killed the best cultivator amidst us?" Deodomus muttered, still staring at Luna's head. "You killed her…she could have stopped Xiao's kidnapping. She could have found her otherwise."
"We can find Xiao, don't worry." Muchen licked his parched lips. His heartbeat escalated in fear. "And Luna isn't exactly dead. She's in suspended animation. She'll return to life once I'm finished with the-
Slish! A silvery arc flashed and Muchen's chest was cleaved deeply by Deodomus' sword. He jumped back while blood spurted out of his cut.
"Wait Deo! Luna is alive! I can fix her! We'll find Xiao!" He shouted quickly but Deodomus was already upon him.
Swish-swish-slash-slash-slash! The sword flashed many times within a moment.
"Aaaahh!!!" Muchen's painful screams echoed in the ruins.
