Chapter 1: Prolog - The Sphinx
A small creature floats hesitantly toward a silhouetted figure.
"Tell me what you are." Commands the figure in a deep voice, while holding a jewel of some sort.
"I'm a kwami, sir," The kwami answered, "Many centuries ago, magic jewels bestowing extraordinary powers were created. These were the Miraculous. Throughout history, heroes have used these jewels for the good of the human race. We kwami's are the "personality" of the Miraculous"
"Is there one that gives complete power?" the figure inquires.
"Well, not exactly, there are two Miraculous that are more powerful than the others. The Miraculous of Creation and the Miraculous of destruction. According to legend, whoever controls both of them at the same time will achieve absolute power."
"I must have that power! Nooroo, how do I get those Miraculous?" The figure turns toward the kwami, still masked in shadow.
"But nobody knows where these Miraculous are!" The creature whose name is Nooroo answers fearfully.
"I found you…Tell me what your miraculous does again."
"The Moth Brooch allows you to give someone their own superpowers and make that person your devoted follower."
The figure puts the brooch on, "If the Miraculous holders are so called superheroes, then what better way to find them than to create supervillains!"
"Master, the Miraculous are meant for good, never to be used for evil!" Nooroo begged.
The figure turned menacingly, "I'll get those miraculous no matter the cost! I am in control of your Miraculous, you obey me!"
"Yes, master…" Nooroo answered looking down.
"Nooroo, dark wings, rise!" suddenly in a flash of darkness Nooroo was gone and the figure had changed. He leans into the light just enough to show a wicked grin.
