Chapter 150: Taste Her Own Medicine...

Everyone was stunned. Why did they start a fight suddenly?

Before they knew what had happened, there was a loud noise. Julia dodged the slap and clutched Cindy's wrist, flinging her to the ground.

With a miserable scream, Cindy collapsed like a limp shrimp.

A louder thud ensued, and Julia fell to the ground as well.

People looked from left to right, not knowing what had happened.

"You bi—..." Cindy howled.

She had intended to say bitch, but checked herself for there were so many people present. She switched to an angelic tone.

"Why did you pushed me? I'm gonna tell my mom. I'm bullied..."

Words had failed everyone. Did they hear it right? Was this woman three years old? She looked for her mother when she was in trouble?

On the other side, Julia turned pale and said in a trembling voice, "I was scared by you. I did it by instinct."

Her voice was very low, fragile and pitiful.

Lucas could not stand it any longer. When he was about to go forward, he was stopped by someone.

Frowning, he looked back to see an unfamiliar young man. It took him quite some time to recognize he was Marvin, Julia's new assistant.

Marvin shook his head, beckoning Lucas not to intervene. Although he had not worked for Julia for long, he could see she was up to something.

His boss could not be so vulnerable.

Clearly, Julia wanted Cindy to have a taste of her own medicine. Cindy moaned, "It hurts. You broke my arm."

Julia also faked up a thin voice with suppressed disgust, "My heart aches..."

Everyone was dumbstruck.

How did an ordinary Mouthpiece game turn into a bitch contest?

Just as everyone thought that these two women would continue the disgusting game, Julia got to her feet slowly and said, "To my surprise, Miss Cindy has a high standard of professionalism, which is rare in the industry, for she made such efforts for the program effect and rating."

Cindy was suspicious.

Julia continued with a straight face, "I got you wrong in the past. I thought that you pushed people around as you took advantage of your prestige background. You were an ignorant and incompetent beauty without brains, and you had no acting skills at all."

Everyone agreed in silence. That was true.

As Cindy turned green, almost exploding, she heard Julia say lightly, "But!—"

Everyone turned to her, waiting.

Julia deliberately paused for a few seconds before she told Cindy sincerely, "Through this incident, I find you are a good actress. Did you try to show off your acting skills just now? You reached the top of your performance when you pretended to slap me. Luckily I reacted quickly and cooperated with you."

Cindy was lost for words. What the heck!

Silence fell over everyone.

Marvin reacted quickly. Seeing Julia's intention, he broke the silence, "That's right! Miss Cindy and Miss Julia presented a marvelous performance just now. This part can be clipped into a trailer, and it will definitely go viral!"

Only then did the director come back to earth. He had been fretting about how to solve this problem, not expecting the new boss to come up with the solution right away.

He had to admit this was a wonderful idea, saying the incident was designed for the program effect. It was a perfect excuse.

He forced a smile and continued to flatter awkwardly, "Indeed, indeed. Miss Cindy acts very well. That's touching."

Words had failed Cindy. She did not act, and she just wanted to hit Julia!

She had thought as long as she was fast, she could say it was only an accident and Julia could not blame her in public.

She didn't expect this little bitch to react so quickly. Her face was so pale, but it was caused by anger instead of pain.

She wanted to explode.

Before she could retort, the producer grinned, flattering awkwardly, "The new actors should learn from Miss Cindy. She is amazing!"

Directors and producers were always in the same boat. As long as it was good for the show, they could talk nonsense.

They kept flattering desperately, confusing everyone. They did that for program effect?

Marvin echoed enthusiastically, "Come on. Let's applaud Miss Cindy and Miss Julia for a wonderful performance. Especially Miss Cindy, as she dedicated her first top performance to our show, which is touching."

His voice was heavy with sarcasm. No actors would achieve their first top performance in a variety show.

Everyone read between the lines. Cindy had made herself a nuisance, insolent and arrogant.

Thunderous applause was sounded, everyone clapped in excitement.

Cindy was lost for words. What was the applause for? She had enough of their sarcasm.

She was near to exploding. She had intended to bully Julia, like what she had done to the actresses whom she held grudges against. She just needed to explain she did it for program effect, and the other actresses had to endure her in pain.

But this time, she tasted her own medicine.

As her uncle was not with her, and there were witnesses, she could not tell the truth no matter how reluctant she was. Otherwise, it would be like slapping herself.

Julia went up to Cindy, who was sitting on the ground and was reluctant to get up. She looked concerned, "Why don't you get up, Miss Cindy? You don't feel well? Did I push you too hard? I'm sorry. It's all my fault. Next time please remind me, I'll be careful."

Julia looked apologetic, and her voice was sincere, as if she was an innocent passerby and she did not tossed Cindy to the ground.

Marvin tried to stifle his laugh awkwardly.

The staff assistant came to help Cindy to her feet again, she couldn't pretend any more. She got up and squeezed out a smile, "You need to be careful about that, for you have the strength to do farm work in the countryside."

In her embarrassment, she did not forget to diss Julia's rural background. She was smiling, but she looked ferocious.

Julia was not angry at all. She only smile and said, "Take Cindy out for a good rest. Clip out this recording as the trailer. I'll continue."

After Cindy left, Marvin came over and asked, "Boss, just now she dissed that you were from the countryside. Why didn't you fight back?"

As far as he was concerned, his beautiful and delicate boss was a sharp—tongued, not possible to lose out to anyone.
