Chapter 41: Competition

Reginald sat up expectantly hoping she would head his direction to sit where he was. His intense gaze on Olivia was returned by the Princess's fierce ones. It looked as though she was questioning why he was staring at her.

Tsk... why staring at me in that manner? Where's your woman? She questioned in her head while deciding not to look around for Madeline.

It wasn't going to be of help knowing the woman was here. Instead, she would just remain silent and leave as soon as the ceremony ended.

Not like her step-brother even regarded her existence. Besides, he was Adele's son.

Olivia didn't realize that apart from Reginald's eyes on her, she had the gazes of others following her movements. Including that of Adele's.

Instead of heading to Reginald's direction, she walked straight to the throne. Olivia met the King's loving gaze and her fierce expression softened as she realized how thin the man became.
