Chapter 680: The downside of power

( Satan's POV ) 

Satan leaned onto the window of his massive tower as he looked at the battle unfold on the Eastern front with glee in his eyes. 

The corpses were piling up by the thousands every passing minute and the sheer amount of blood loss was causing the scent in the air to turn metallic. 

He could see Regus Aurelius looking at him from a distance, the red eyes of the Vampire Monarch staring straight into his soul causing goosebumps to rise all over his skin. 

" You're a powerful one, aren't you? " Satan said as he smiled so wide that even though a full five kilometres away, Regus could still notice the pieces of meat stuck between his teeth. 

Regus was patiently waiting for Satan to make the first move and had long expected him to jump into battle, but for some reason, Satan stayed put in his place as he admired the scenery outside his tower's window while being fully armoured.
