The octopus opened its massive mouth, spewing a type of acid liquid! Harkor was swift enough to evade it, but Alex was not as fortunate. He was struck by the acidic spray.

Unfortunately, his Shadow Blink was on cooldown at that precise moment, leaving him with no choice but to attempt to dodge it with his own speed.

"Damn it, this is powerful," he cursed.

Mary and Emma were far enough away to avoid being hit by the acid, so they remained unscathed.

"Let's fight back!" Harkor yelled as he leaped into action. "The octopus cannot use this attack non-stop!"

This essentially meant the attack had a cooldown, something Alex had already suspected. Following Harkor's lead, he leaped to attack the octopus with his Umbra Blade.

As he soared through the air, everything around him froze. The server had shut down during the boss battle!
