Chapter 23: Ground Work
As all 50 guards and I entered the mansion I looked just the stairs where Midas had been sitting 2 hours ago the Sofa along with the table was missing Midas sat right in the middle of the stairs, he changed rather than wearing a suit he wore a White Shirt along with Gray Jeans.
Joel: They are here...Sir
Midas: You did it...amazing, you have changed to Joel or rather I didn't the urgent side of yours.
Joel: What now Sir?

Midas: Most of you...no all of you might not know me though I do believe that Joel must have shown you a photo of mine....
Joel: I did Sir....
Midas: Very well...My name is Midas the one you all work under, according to Joel, you guys out of all others are the strongest. I do trust Joel so I won't argue about your qualifications.
Midas steps down the stairs and moves his right hand forward a shiny glass-looking cylindrical object forms, its height around Midas's waist. As he put his hand on the spherical object a sudden line of glass flowed like water from beneath the glass cylinder.
As the glass line flowed towards the guards latching onto their skins like it was an infestation, panic soon infused as they got scared some fell on the ground while some took a step back looking at their faces I could tell they weren't feeling pain but they were a bit terrified, the noise of murmuring started.
Joel: What was that Sir?
Midas: Diamond...
I was surprised as my eyes widened and my mouth was in awe...
Joel: Diamond?... You can control it along with Gold.
Sir smiled back...as he looked back at the guards who were still talking.
Midas: [sigh] SILENCE!
Sir screamed within seconds it was as if the air thickened it was getting harder to breathe but my body didn't fall it just wouldn't, it was weird what I felt was simply Fear. I wasn't the only one almost everyone there felt it...
Midas: What you have there is a Diamond, it will act like armor based upon your movements it changes shape acting like protection or an enhancement. You their come forward.
Pointing towards a guy standing right side corner line he came standing in front a few feet apart from Midas.
Guard: Sir.
Midas: What is your name?
Guard: Jason Sir.
Midas: No...FROM NOW ON...All 50 of you as long as you work here will known by your numbers that will be given later. You will not use your real name no matter what...
UNDERSTOOD!
In unison, they all screamed Yes...
Midas: What kind of melee weapon are you used to?
Guard: Knives Sir! I was in the Marines where I was taught how to use knives.
Midas: Turn back...Now put of dominant hand forward and imagine you are holding a knife you prefer.
Guard: Yes Sir.
Jason, following orders Jason did what he was told turning back as he put his left hand forward forming a half-closed fist he just stood for a few seconds until like blood flowing from his the liquid diamond was coming and formed a decent-looking knife.
Midas: The diamond will create anything you desire as long as it isn't too compilated like Guns. Though you won't need them anyways Diamonds can only be broken or destroyed but diamonds that don't that won't feel pain or impact will keep regenerating infinitely.
Guards(unison): Okay Sir...
Midas: Go back now...
Guard: Yes sir.
Jason rushed to where he was....as for Midas
Midas: Tomorrow there will be a tournament among all of you a tournament and based on the outcome you will give your numbers/rankings...Now DISPERSE!
Finally, it all ended as Sir went up the stairs to his room and the guards disappeared.
Midas: Joel Follow me.
Joel: Yes Sir.
Following him we reached his room, and as we did so many questions were mind that I just couldn't hold in.
Joel: Sir, What kind of fight... competition will happen?
Midas: Each person will be given a coin, and they must take it from each other by any means possible. Those who lose their coins will be eliminated.
Joel: What if they happen to coincide?
Midas: They will fight one vs one.
Joel: May I ask one more thing, Sir.
Midas: sure.
Joel: What would happen if they tried to group up together and beat the weaklings?
Midas: I see, that means they are all familiar with each other's skills. Joel, we may have to face the entire world one day. While humans may not be a direct threat, it doesn't mean they can't harm us. I have more efficient targets to focus on, which means I won't be of much help if they are acting alone. It's better if they work together as a group.
Joel: I see, One more thing, may I ask how you got the power to control Diamond?
Midas: I awakened it!
Joel: huh?
Does that mean I can also awaken something like this, if so then how? I didn't have the guts to ask this question what if he thinks that I am trying to revolt against him?
