The restaurant opened and curious people came in, they saw the prices and immediately scrammed.
This place was obviously a scam!
Truthfully, Hiro didn't care what the prices were but he needed the prestige of a high-end restaurant! Otherwise, he wouldn't attract the critics and Michelin people in the future. Joichiro didn't want them around, that's why he opened a diner with his wife.
If not then it would probably be the same, plus if a top chef came to the restaurant and tasted the food, he would probably complain that the prices were too low!
Needless to say that Hiro and Zerotwo's cooking had reached a high level. When they worked together, forget it! It was like throwing a stone in a calm lake and then deciding that the ripples weren't enough before nuking the lake with an atom bomb.
Anyway!
This continued for a week before they had their first customer!
It was the old man who made wedding dresses!
He came in and looked at Zerotwo, who smiled and asked him what he wanted, in Italian, mind you. Hiro smirked proudly, his wife was the best! Hmph!
A cold light flashed in his eyes, whoever doesn't think so are truly heretics and should be erased from the world... As Hiro was plotting the demise of the Heretics of the Zerotwo cult, the old man's eyes lit up seeing Zerotwo's figure.
He could already imagine what kind of wedding dress he could create! He was practically trembling in excitement! He quickly ordered 3 dishes without looking at them too closely.
An appetizer, a main meal, and a dessert!
Hiro almost shed a tear, this old man was god's gift!
The crops were dry, Lord!
A divine blessing!
He quickly started cooking before Zerotwo brought the food out to the old man, who asked in Italian "Is the chef available?" Zerotwo pursed her lips and said "Is there something wrong, sir?" the old man shook his head and said "I'm here to talk about the we-"
Hiro burst out from the kitchen doors and carried out a bottle of wine, saying in Italian "Here you are! Your pre-ordered Wine! I had almost forgotten! My apologies." The old man looked at Hiro and then Zerotwo before realizing, he almost did something bad!
He accepted the wine and smiled "Ah, yes! Thank you!" Hiro smiled and said "Honey, can you go and finish the main dish, please?" she narrowed her eyes in suspicion. Did they take her for an idiot?! There was clearly something going on behind the scenes here!
Hiro just blinked at her with pure eyes. She finally sighed after a few seconds and said "We're not finished." as she walked into the kitchen. Hiro smiled and said "Of course, love you!" she waved over her shoulder and Hiro chuckled sheepishly before turning to the old man and saying quickly in a different dialect "Damn old man! You're gonna get me killed here!"
The old man choked on his food and said "Sen said you were vulgar but he underestimated by how much..." Hiro sat down and poured him a glass of wine before pouring himself a glass and replying "Yeah, that Old man gets older every year, he's going senile fast. Anyway, you saw her... What do you think? Can you do it? I don't care about the money, I want the most beautiful one you have."
The old man was quickly diverted to the topic and shook his head seriously saying "I can't sell you a dress I have." Hiro was waiting and sure enough, The old man continued "I can only make a dress from scratch. It will take months! I guarantee that it will be the best and most beautiful dress I have ever created in my life. Not only this but only your wife can wear this. If anyone else does, it will just be an insult to the dress itself."
Hiro drank from his little glass cup. It was a cylinder glass with one end open and a pattern in the glass itself. It was quite a simple and nice cup!
He didn't use a wine glass as that wasn't the style in Italy. They drank wine too much to make a big deal out of it with fancy shmancy glasses. In Hiro's previous life, his late grandpa made wine at his house! Hiro had been drinking wine since 5 years old.
He wasn't a connoisseur, but he enjoyed wine quite a bit. He never used fancy glasses, even when he went out as a mortal in his previous life. He was considered a vulgar and no table manners person, though he didn't really care, he was told several times that he ate like a prisoner, covering his plate with his arm to prevent people from stealing his food.
It was just a habit and how he was comfortable eating.
Drinking the wine and thinking about what the old man said, he sighed to himself. This wine was not as good as his grandfather's... That was just his personal opinion. He looked at the old man and said "How much is this gonna cost?"
The old man said "I would do it for free. But that's not realistic. I'll take 1 Million." Hiro said "Ok." money was simply a number to him. It could be a Billion dollars and he still wouldn't bat an eye.
Money was made to be spent after all.
What's the point of hoarding it?
To swim in it?
He wasn't Scrooge McDuck.
Realistically, if he didn't have such skills and a system, he would probably be a poor boy.
Errr... That's not right.
He would be dead long before that. He knew that he was unsuitable to be in positions of power, if he was powerless, he would end up just like Louis XVI of France.
Executed and displayed on a stake for the world to see.
Truly good thing he had the supreme cheat.
The old man, who's name was Giovanni, and Hiro, who's name was Hiro, came to an agreement and Hiro wrote down all Zerotwo's measurements that were needed for the drees before handing them over to Giovanni.
He didn't worry about releasing such information, not to mention that nobody could touch his wife except him, he wasn't even sure the old man could get it up anymore.
Plus, the looks of envy were extremely pleasant and soothing to his, already inflated, ego!
He was simply better than them! One look at his wife was all they needed to see to know that it was the truth!
