Chapter 35: The Hunter, The Sniper And The Silvers Part 1
Standing in front of them is Michail. But it seems he had no intention to attack. Instead, he runs off deeper into the forest. Mika was the first one to go after him but was stopped by Rio.
"Hang on, Mika! It could be a trap for us to follow him!"
"It seems like it. But why did he blatantly show himself in front of us?" Said Mika confused.
"From his expression when he found us earlier, it seems like he was searching for our specific location. It's only my assumption but now that he knows where we are I feel like he ran off assuming we are to chase after him or to tell his team to prepare for something." (Kiyo)
"That's a good assumption. Need I remind you the objective is to either capture or kill our team leader, so I'm sure they're preparing to go straight for the leader." (Rio)
"So an assassination then?" Said Ryuma while looking around looking for a potential ambush.
"Or they could launch an attack from afar. I noticed that Jamis was from the far west. So he could be carrying any magic handgun. And that girl Zoya... It seems like she carried something long behind her. I can't seem to tell what it is since it was wrapped in a cloth." (Rio)
"So, how do we do this then? Going all in together or split up and looking for an opening?" (Ryuma)
"If that is the case then how about we do this..." Kiyo tells everyone his plan. Everyone seems to be on the same wavelength as him.
"And that's my plan. But, the problem is... If the leader died in the middle of the fight somehow." (Kiyo)
"That's true. But we'll get to their leader before they get ours." Said Ryuma while cracking a few bones of his fingers. After they prepared to proceed with the plan, they too went into the way where Michail had gone.
Meanwhile, Michail on the other hand, was hiding behind the tree to wait for Ryuma's team to follow him. It seems Rio was right. Michail tried to lure them right into his trap. Unfortunately, it wasn't working since they were already aware of it.
"It seems like they did not follow me. Could they have seen through my trap? If that's the case they would probably split up and try to search for an opening from the side." A few minutes later, Michail saw a few figures walking towards his field of vision.
"Three of them... That short white hair guy is not there. It seems like they are cautiously walking towards inside the trap. Unless they know what is coming for them, it's a dumb decision to walk straight in." Michail then proceeded to show up himself in front of them.
"Looks like you decided to fight head-on with us. I must say, is it a clever plan? Or a dumb one..." Kiyo was the first one to answer him with a smile full of confidence on his face.
"Do not worry, I can assure you that this is not a dumb plan. Although it's a bit risky, I can say." After Kiyo finishes his sentence, he then proceeds to throw one knife straight to Michail's face. Michail saw the knife and blocked it with a sword coming out of nowhere. Kiyo was surprised and confused at the same time.
"A sword? I can swear he was not holding anything a second ago... Wait, could it be..." Kiyo smiled as he walked closer to Michail.
"So that's how it is huh? As expected from the son from 'The Nine Great Family'... SilverEyes!!!" Kiyo took out the sword from the bag he carried and proceeded to sprint toward Michail. Unfortunately, he has yet to reach Michail as he was interrupted by a range attack from a far distance.
The attack was so fast that Kiyo barely reacted his thigh had been pierced whole by some kind of foreign object. Kiyo didn't let out a scream. Instead, he clenches his whole muscle to reduce the pain. But the blood massively coming out from the two holes in his thigh has left him frozen in place sitting on one knee.
Mika tried to reach out to him. But at the same time, a small object was coming from the right side toward Mika's head at a great speed. Fortunately, Rio managed to block the object before it reached Mika. At the same time, Kiyo was holding his thigh tight to stop the blood from coming out. But Michail on the other hand, decided to swing his sword towards Kiyo.
"This is the end!" Once again, Rio saves the day by blocking Michail's sword. Mika then proceeds to carry Kiyo despite his body being the biggest among the four like it's nothing.
"MEDIC MEDIC!!! THIS GUY NEEDS A MEDICAL TREATMENT ASAP!!!" Michail tried to stop Mika from running but he was interrupted by Rio. Michail tried to fend him off but Rio's strength is greater in comparison instantly pushed Michail into the corner.
As Rio tried to finish Michail off the sound of a shot can be heard from a distance. Along with the 'foreign' object that has pierced Kiyo earlier. Fortunately, Rio had seen them coming and dodged all of them.
"Tenjiro Technique: Thunder Step!" In an instant, Rio instantly moved so fast that it was like he was teleported. Rio decided to retreat from the area to group up with others. But at the same time, Rio can feel that something has pierced him from behind. It seems like he has been shot from a great distance.
Along with the second shot. And then the third. And then the fourth.
"T-This is bad! I took quite a lot of damage! The worst part is, This guy's shot doesn't miss at all!" Rio proceeded to run off as fast as he could. Jamis, who had shot multiple times to Rio, instantly lost him from his sight.
Along with the girl named Zoya who is sitting on the top of the hill while looking for Rio from her scope... Also has lost sight of Rio while chewing on the bubble gum. She immediately clicked her tongue.
"Tch! Seems like it's not gonna be easy as we thought..." Zoya then leaves the area while carrying a long and large weapon called a 'Sniper'.
