Chapter 5: To Her, Who Refused To Accept It

The days and nights continued to be like that for me and Estes, and to be honest, it was such a bliss. The late night talks have become a thing of the norm of us and the time came that I actually became excited for it. Estes slowly opened up to me and even though his expression is still unchanging, I can feel that he is also having fun. I started to become overly curious of him. I wanted to know of his past, his thoughts and everything about him but because I know it would delight him not, I never asked him about those. I felt things I never once felt in my thousands of years of existence, and whether or not this is love is the least of my cares for I am happy with what I have right now; someone to be with. With that, I grew afraid that someday, maybe Estes would have to leave me or vice versa. I thought that this happiness may one day come back to haunt me. It reminded me of the responsibilities that the both of us ran away from. I am a goddess and he is a King. It is inevitable for us to be separated one day.
