Chapter 1: Prologue

So uh, it's me ya boy.

My other fic is dropped if you haven't guessed already. It was pretty bad imo. This time though, I'll try a lot harder and make it at least a bit better than my last fic. Hopefully.

Though, don't expect too much.

I'm not editing the chapters so please kindly point out if there are any errors.

Thanks for reading!

Saitama, the world's strongest hero was having a dilemma. One thing led to another, now he's having trouble picking between crabs and bananas. On one hand, the crabs were on a whopping 30% sale. While on the other hand, the bananas could last him much longer at an even more exaggerated price going at 40% off!

He held both items in each hand and decided to buy both. After all, a discount is a discount. Rarely does he get deals this good. His mouth was already drooling at the thought of those delicious crab meat. He went through the cashier and packed the goods. The items were held with extreme care.

Saitama nervously walked through the desolated part of City-Z with the packed goods, he made sure to check any possible corner for monsters. After all, he didn't want his precious food to suddenly become a puddle of smudge on the ground—

Smack!

Yet there it was. A monster was in front of him and his food had been smashed to the ground. He did not expect such an outcome to happen all of the sudden. Saitama didn't know what to feel, should he be enraged? Or annoyed? Since he didn't know what to choose between those two he decided that the best outcome was to feel both.

Both he did. The monster didn't even know what hit him when he suddenly found his vision continuously spinning as if he was on a rollercoaster ride. Saitama stared at the ground listlessly, his face covered in a thick dark shadow completely covering his expression. 'That was the best sales this week...' He thought to himself and clenched his fists.

Saitama went home with his back slouched and expression darkened. It was hopeless... He ain't gonna get another good sale for the next three months. He went to sleep early, unaware of the news that he had caused.

Random Civillain POV

I can't believe they actually made me do this... The crew wanted to film a video on the ghost town of City-Z, yet none of them were brave enough to venture into this monster-filled city. Sigh, yet here I am. Alone and scared, I didn't know what I'm going to see or meet here but man I'm not excited.

Though the manager did say he'd give me a promotion if I do this so that's a plus. But considering that my life is on the line, that's not even enough for me to be satisfied. I'm going to ask for a higher position once I get back alive... In one piece hopefully.

I prepared everything I'd need, the essentials were packed neatly inside my backpack and the camera is ready to go! I didn't want to go in unprotected so I bought a small knife and pepper spray just in case. Though I doubt that would do much.

I approached the perimeter of the city with my van, I would have to go on foot up to this point. I exited the van and proceeded to walk. I entered the ghost town through a hole in a fence, there wasn't any security, as one would expect from a monster-infested area such as this. I entered smoothly without any hassle and even managed to walk deeper into the town without any issues.

It's been a few hours, and carrying this heavy camera on my should is tiring. But recording everything that has happened here or is happening is my purpose for coming here in the first place. I made my way through a narrow path with two opposing buildings on each side. It wasn't that difficult to enter but I had to squeeze through some tight spots because of the camera I was holding.

I stopped on a nearby bench to catch my breath. It was beside a park that was eerily quiet. In the middle of the park was a swing. It was swinging with the wind's help. Suddenly, I was captivated by the sight and decided to try out the swing for myself. After all, it wouldn't hurt anyone to reexperience their childhoods.

I sat there with an expressionless face. Almost forgetting the reason for my arrival here. I was soon brought out of my trance by an explosion up ahead. It was the loudest thing I've ever heard in my entire life. My ears bled as I covered them with the palms of my hand.

Turning on the camera once again, I recorded the scene in front of me. Dust flew everywhere and smoke rose to the sky, it didn't take long for me to get what was happening. A monster had appeared and it seems it wasn't anywhere weak.

I hurriedly ran towards the smoke's general direction and did my best to not make the camera shake too much. It didn't take me long to reach the place but I was panting heavily. I ran a good 300 meters without rest and with a heavy camera on me. I hid behind a wall and recorded the scene.

...

An explosion happened. The next thing was a red humanoid monster appeared in front of Saitama, who held his ripped plastic bags in his hands dejectedly. The monster inhaled deeply and prepared a speech.

"You filthy human dare step foot in my domain!? This one shall not allow such disrespect to thine!" The monster said, unaware of the disaster that was about to befall him. He continued to insult and belittle Saitama until he had enough. "That's enough! I shall end your pitiful existence!" The monster cocked its fist and punched. Only to hit thin air.

'!!!'

The monster's instincts blared inside its mind as if telling him to run and flee as far away as he could. Unfortunately for him, it was already too late. Saitama's fist landed firmly on the monster's chest, blasting a hole through its body and sending its organs all over the place. Saitama made sure to be extra spiteful as he decapitated the monster's head and kicked it with enough force to send it flying for a few dozen seconds.

...

Random Civillain POV

I... I was completely and utterly speechless. I did not know what to say as if I had completely forgotten my own language. The readings on the monster danger level detector clearly said 'Dragon-Level' which is considered to be the second most dangerous kind of monster.

It required dozens of A-Class heroes or an S-Class hero to defeat such a powerful monster. Yet the man in front of me defied all logic and killed one with a single punch. I swear no one would believe me if I didn't record everything on camera. I watched as the man walk away slowly, unbothered by the guts and foul smell of the monster's mangled body produced.
