Chapter 2: I Awake To See An Angel
I woke up slowly to see a girl my age or a year younger with dirty blonde hair staring at me. "Are you dead?" She said getting close to my face
"I don't think I am." I replied
"Well your talking, so you must not be dead."
"Good point." I stood up and stared at her I had to look sorta down to see her for she is short or I'm tall I don't know human heights.
"So.... what's your name?"
"Max. Yours?"
"I'm ruby."
"Rubys are my favorite gem and they're pretty...like you."
"What was that?"
"NOTHING!"
"So where do you live Max?"
"I don't know?"
"What how can you not remember where you live?"
"I just can't."
"Well till you remember where you live your bunking with me."
"Is that ok with your parents?"
"Oh it will be fine."
"Ok."
"Follow me." She started walking out of the field and I just stared at her the whole walk. Her dirty blonde hair blew through the wind and her blue eyes glinted in the sunset. I had this feeling I don't know what it was but it was nice. We arrive at a house that was painted blue with a brown roof. I walked in to smell a marvelous smell Coming from the kitchen. A boy older than me walked by and looked at me and Ruby.
"Ruby is this your bf?" The boy said like a brat.
"Knock it off Jake."
"Ok." He kept walking and me an ruby went into the kitchen. I sat at a barstool while Ruby talked to her mom. That both turned around and said
"You can stay." Ruby showed me where I would sleep it was right next to her bed. We all ate dinner then went to bed. I laid on my make shift bed and Ruby walked in wearing a night gown and her hair was still wet from her shower. I turned sideways staring at the closet. When everyone was sound asleep I got up and jumped out the window landing on my feet. Ruby was still awake though but I didn't notice. She ran outside and followed me. I looked at my agenda and it said. "Chris Bangalore." I rolled up the piece of paper and headed to a club where it said he was mostly located. The bouncer stoped me and said
"You over 21?"
"No but my dads in there."
"Who's your dad?"
"Chris Bangalore." He went in the club and shouted his name. Chris came out drunk I dragged him into a ally way and said.
"Chris Bangalore. You have been charged with making a deal with the devil and not paying it back your punishment is death." I pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the stomach multiple times. Blood spewed from his mouth as I slammed his head against a wall. I turned to see Ruby. She looked horrified.
"Ruby it's not." Ruby shook her head and ran. I chased after her grabbing her wrists. I pulled her into an ally way. She tried to pull away. "Listen ruby it's my job."
"What are you a hit man or something!"
"Ruby keep it down or someone will hear you."
"LET ME GO!" She screamed. I rapped my arms around her getting close to her face.
"I said be quite or someone will hear you." She looked stunned cause I was so close to her face. She placed her hand on my cheek and leaned in kissing me. I was stunned. until I pulled her closer as she wrapped her arm around my neck. She pulled away and we head back to the house. I laid down and fell asleep instantly.
