His evil step-mother, Ising, saw how Bernardo Carpio was captured and entranced by Maliya's extreme ardor coupled with beauty and intelligence. Even his own husband, Don Sancho, Bernardo's father and her secret lover Alfonso, Bernardo's uncle were stunned by the lady's beauty and this made her extremely angry and bore grudge to Maliya.
The beautiful woman haven't done anything to this elder woman but envy is something that would bite with deadly venoms. This witch is extremely narcissistic and vain to the point that every woman who will be ahead of his beauty is ordered to be killed.
But Ising is silently afraid of Bernardo Carpio for he is known to be heartless and ruthless and extremely strong. It is even known to the whole continent how he kills his games in hunting using his bare hands even as a child. He is known as a man without mercy to anyone who dares to harm him or his playthings.
Yes, Ising thinks that Maliya is just Bernardo's plaything. This is the first time he shifted his attention to a woman but Ising doesn't believe that such an evil demon man (as he sees him) is capable of having an unceasing affection towards someone, specially towards this girl.
She thinks this but is still afraid. She doesn't dare to commit what she would regret in the end but she still couldn't tolerate the bitch's existence.
Luckily, she found a solution from one of their maid who knows a powerful Shaman.
She arranged everything to meet the Shaman whom she knows will act towards the success of her plans which she thinks to herself as righteous but undoubtly conceited and evil to anyone...
Like the other beautiful woman in their tribe and in their area, she needs to suffer or perish if not die...

Mhyoscrib Bernardo Carpio's story is a Legend and a Folklore that is even learned in Grade School here in our country. Most of the scenes here in this plot are extracted from the Folklore but I'm trying to emphasize to you guys that I twisted the story. ? Bernardo Carpio is believed to not have any woman capture his heart but I just romanticized this plot twists so maybe I'm doomed? Help me please! ??
