Chapter 15: Second Young Master
Valerie smiled wryly.
It's been so many years but she still doesn't remember any of that event.
She just have some visions sometimes and those nightmares, nothing else.
Suddenly her phone started to ring.
When she looked at the caller ID, she saw it's Mary.
"Hello, Mary, what's up?"
"Vale, don't wait for me today. I'm working overtime tonight. I'll be back tomorrow, ok? Don't stay up late. After having dinner, you should go to sleep. Tomorrow my dad is coming." Mary replied.
" I know. Don't worry about me, just don't overwork yourself. I'll call you tomorrow then. By, by" Valerie answered.
After hanging up, she calls someone else.
"Mamma" a cheerful voice came from the other end of the phone.
"Micaela, baby, what are you doing?" Valerie cooed.
"I am doing my homework, Mamma. What about you? You know Micaela misses mamma every second."
"Mamma misses baby girl too, princess."
When Valerie hear the cheerful voice, her fatigue and sadness went away.
If everything is just for her baby girl, then everything is worthwhile.
They talk about random things, laughed and had joyful conversation.
After they hang up. Valerie looked at the time. It's almost dinner time.
She went to the kitchen and made cauliflower fried rice, sour chicken, spring rolls and sour soup for herself.
After eating and and cleaning, she went to rest.
'I've to be early, Uncle is coming to spend his time with me. He will not allow me to rest.' she thought and smiled then went to sleep.
It's early but she still fell asleep.

Brian Residence,
The atmosphere is not right.
A woman in her mid fifties, sat there on the couch.
She may look old but her charisma is not. Her eyes are clear. She has a beautiful face with arrogance. Her appearance is screaming Rich! Rich! Rich! all over.
She is Jedreck's biological mother, Olivia Styles Brian.
She is born in a wealthy family. And she is the legal wife of Enzo Brian, Jedreck's father. She is not arrogant but because of her title she has to show her authority to everyone.
"Did you know that the Meng family canceled the engagement?" she asked.
On the opposite couch, Jedreck was sitting with his cold, stiff face, "Hmm."
"And Xae'er is the one who requested to cancel it. Did you know about it too?"
"Hmm" he replied with the same way.
"And why is that?" her question is simple, and thst is, why did she requested it. Everyone knows that Meng Xae liked Jedreck very much. She was the one who had requested for the marriage. Even though her family is nothing compared to Brian Group. But they are on the same level as Lu Jin Corporation.
And their reputation is also very good in social circle. So, when Meng Xae's father Mr Meng first suggested the proposal, Mr and Mrs Brian thought that they are compatible, so, why not? All these years Meng Xae tried everything to make Jedreck like her but he was like a Buddha. But she never lost hope. She thought that she was not good enough for him that's why he was rejecting her. So, she went aboard for further studies.
She recently came and went straight to meet Jedreck. But the next day, this happened.
Her first thought was that Meng Xae was forced or her own son did something.
"Don't know."
This short, cold answer.
Mrs Brian's patience has its limit but to this son she didn't know why but her limit of patience always has been good.
She is very proud of her elder son.
Brian Group has reached to this extend, it's all for her two sons.
One, who is cold, unapproachable, hard to get along with and a very small talker.
And the other is a playboy, Casanova, a little bit too approachable and a big talker.
But both have their own talents.
The older one is now the president of the Brian Group. He handle all of the companies, the government side, black market and underworld business.
And the younger one is his right hand man. The younger one may be a playboy or a casanova but when he works, he become very serious.
He never fought with his brother for the family business cause he thinks that his brother is the perfect person for those responsibilities. He likes his free, independent life.
These two brothers have a very good relationship. They love and trust each other the most.
Jedreck had always been cold and so he didn't show his emotions to anyone but everyone knows that their relation is very strong, no obstacle can brake them.
Xander, Jedreck's brother is one of the kind who always likes to show his happy emotions. He respects his brother. To him his brother is his ideal.
But cause Jedreck is very cold and silent, his parents were always been cool with him.
They just want their sons to get married and have children. Even his grandparents are pushing him to get married and give them their great grandchildren.
And now this happened.
"You don't know. Then tomorrow I will set up a date for you with Mr Anthony's daughter. Be rea___" Mrs Brian was saying when her son cut her off.
"I'm busy. Send Xander. I'm going home. Good night." he didn't even give his mother the chance to say anything. He is already out of the door.
Mrs Brian sighed.
She really can't win over her older son.

Jedreck was on the car but his mind is somewhere else.
The picture of Valerie and Jones holding hands played in his head repeatedly.
He tried to distract himself but still couldn't.
When he think about them being together, he feels something is missing. His heart hurt. But on the outside, he still has his same expression.
After he reached his villa, he went in and saw that his brother is sitting on the sofa and watching TV while munching some snacks. He didn't mind him like his brother didn't even exist and went straight to his room. After freshen up, he went downstairs.
"Would you like to have your dinner, young master?" the old butler asked respectfully.
"Hmm" was the reply.
When Xander saw his brother, he ran up to him like a pet going to it's owner.
"Brother, brother, do you know after I came I heard that...." then his babbling started and it went on and on.
Even in the dinner table.
After they finish their dinner, he was still babbling.
"I'm going to bed." Jedreck said and without looking at his brother he went to his room.
"Ok." Xander also left.
He is already full so it's time for bed.
His villa is right next to his brother's.
"Seriously! Second young master just went to the bussiness trip for 3 days. Now he came back, he was talking like he didn't see the young master for more than a year. How can someone talk that much without any rest?" a maid commented.
"Do your work." the old butler ordered.
All the maids went to do their own business.
The old butler sighed.
He is with them from their birth so he saw them grew up and to him they are like his own child.
But he also doesn't know how can their second master be that cheerful and talkative but the young master is so cold and silent.
