Chapter 22: "Practice Tool"
The AI thought about the consequences of having his contractor lose and couldn't help but shuddered.
'Okay, I have to motivate my contractor!'
The duck then coughed a bit before flying closer to Lai Jiayi's place.
He landed right on the girl's chest before saying in a soft, gentle voice of a young boy, "Look...why don't you just treat this game as a...therapy to face your phobia, quack?"
He flapped his metal wings twice before climbing Lai Jiayi's face and stopped right on her chin. The small, palm-sized AI looked at Lai Jiayi's eyes as he waited for her answer.
He knew that his contractor had a fear of men. He knew it, but...he also had a strong belief in her that she would be able to overcome that fear!
Every player playing this game also had a unique weakness like his contractor, so really…

Listening to the AI's words, Lai Jiayi lightly nodded her head. To make herself comfortable around men, she had to meet them.
She tried that in the past...tried to mingle with her male friends at the college but…
Just remembering the past incident, Lai Jiayi's eyes dimmed down. Her aura turned dark, and her face became gloomy again, making the AI worried for her.
He knew almost everything about this girl. Thus, he also knew why the girl was wearing this kind of expression now.
"...you see...will you stop trying when you only failed a few times, quack?" the AI suddenly asked in a serious tone.

"QWAAACK??" The AI was so shocked receiving the kiss that his program almost got turned down reflexively.
Lai Jiayi didn't realize that her AI almost got his system shut down from her kiss.
Her eyes opened wide, a fire lit up in it. The girl said, "Thank you! I will use this target as a practice tool to overcome my phobia."
Why didn't she think like this from the start?
Rather than viewing her target being a real man as something bothersome, she should treat this fact as a chance for her to practice being comfortable around men.
'I might not be able to handle more than a man, but if it's just a man, not a thug or a playboy...maybe I can make progress in my therapy?'
Lai Jiayi suddenly became energetic again. Her will to win this game strengthened.
Seeing this, the AI didn't say anything else and just spoke, "Now go and study the biodata again -quack!" He approached the girl.
"It will be good for you, quack!"
"Ok…" Nodding her head, Lai Jiayi began to scan through the brief biodata provided by the game. She crossed her legs and sat in a lotus position.
She then saw the 'level SSS' title beside the target's name. She couldn't help but get a bad feeling.
With a wary tone of voice, Lai Jiayi asked, "Tell me, what does difficulty level SSS mean?" The girl knitted her eyebrows.
Level SSS in games and such was used to indicate something very high-level, right?
Didn't know why she felt that....her chasing plan wouldn't be that easy.
Upon getting this question, the AI instantly flinched.
