Chapter 42: Chapter 42: Michelle Campbell, am I losing face with my money?

"When did you come in? I didn't hear a sound."

He didn't make any noise while walking...or was she just too focused on knitting the scarf to notice him?

"Just now." Samuel Noah Jackson answered indifferently, then walked over and sat down by her.

"What's this?" He looked at the half-finished item she was knitting and asked.

"A scarf... Didn't you ask me to give you a gift? I thought giving a scarf during this winter would be pretty good!" Michelle Campbell raised the scarf she was knitting and smiled at him.

Hearing this, Samuel hesitated for a moment, a faint hint of surprise in his eyes. So, she was knitting it for him; he had thought it was for her brother.

"By the way, here's your card!" Michelle suddenly remembered something, then took out the card he had given her yesterday from her bag.

"I borrowed some money, but I got my money today and deposited it back for you. As for this scarf, consider it my thank-you gift to you for helping me!" She said.
