Chapter 3: Chapter 2

The meeting was pretty tiring. Kim also met a lot of famous writers and sponsors.

After 30 mins of the gathering, Mr Lee, his editor/manager and Kim Jeong Hoon walked straight to the car to reach the book signing event.

The event was hosted in a museum cafe— it was Kim's favourite cafe, and he knew the owner very well. To be accurate, the cafe owner was his fan and wanted to host a signing event to promote the cafe.

Kim Jeong Hoon was a hotshot writer, with his name representing Korea all across the writing world. His thrillers were world-famous, and his unique personality makes him more mysterious.

Mr Kim entered the cafe, greeted the owner with a handshake, and quietly sats at the chair table. Seeing him made the crowd of people shout and clap out of pleasure. The crowd was pretty huge; hundreds of people were waiting in a line formation to meet him.

The museum cafe was big enough for the crowd to stand comfortably. They designed the shop diligently to reflect the time of the Korean Independence Movement. There were also many antique pieces of that time— guns, swords, shields, photos, etc. But the most outcasting thing that caught Kim Jeong Hoon's eyes was an old typewriter kept in a big glass shield at the corner.

The book signing event was very tiring. There were more than a hundred people who came to meet him. He even attracted a few foreign tourists to the event, as expected from a well-known writer. After an hour, his cheek muscles started aching, and he was on his limit for it.

After two hours of the book signing event, Kim walked straight to the typewriter. He was moved by her's beauty. The levers were made of gold, and the keys were made of some glossy silver metal. The whole build was eye-catching, with beautiful elements and on it. To be franker, there were many fires, trees, and water symbols on it.

Suddenly, the owner from behind, "It was made in 1925 in Gyeongseong, during the Korean independence movement. Isn't she a beauty?"

Kim gave a beautiful smile on the owner's face and replied with a yes. The typewriter was as sparkling as titanium to his eyes. It was indeed a beauty.

"If you look at the right side of the typewriter, you will find something… Will you read it from me?" asked the owner.

Kim Jeong Hoon followed his words and read, "Kim Seo Jun".

"Yes, it was the name of her master. Do you know him?" The owner said with a smile.

"Sir, it's my late grandfather's name," Kim Jeong Hoon replied quietly.

"I knew it was your grandfather's… I also got a photo with the typewriter when I brought it." The owner said.

The owner took out the photo from his purse and handed it over to Kim. Kim looked at the black and white picture and jumped backwards with a surprising face.

The owner smiled, " So I was right…He is indeed your late grandfather. I am also a big fan of your late grandfather's work, but previously when you said that your grandfather was a writer too, I guessed he was yours. You two look very similar."

Kim Jeong Hoon got a poker face on and went deep inside his thoughts. The owner handed over his grandfather's typewriter and said, "Now she can live happily with her real owner."

Kim Jeong Hoon was still in a shock phase and was also happy from inside. But, it was doubtful for a person to return such an expensive thing without asking anything for it.

After 10 mins of break, he went back to his sit and resumed the event.

He met many non-natives and talked in fluent English with them. Many people even misunderstood him to be a native English speaker. His talent in the English language was shining. The people were also complimenting his handsome face. Some girls even tried to propose to him for marriage and dating. I guess it is an advantage to be a popular, handsome writer. But, Kim said no to all the proposals he got and looked hard to get.

After four more hours, the event got over. Kim met more than a thousand people in a single book signing event.

It was four 'o'clock. Mr Lee escorted him to his house. He brought the typewriter home with him and placed it on his study table. He was happy, and it brought back his memories tied with his grandfather.

Suddenly his head started aching, and everything became visually unclear to him. His head was painful, and he couldn't hold himself back. He fell in front of his study table and injured himself.

His head was bleeding a lot. He kept his eyes wide open, maybe because he was trying to not lose consciousness. All of a sudden, the lights went out, and the room became dark. Kim came to his limit and closed his eyes.

He was tried, and he couldn't help it.

However, he heard a bell ringing. The bell had a soothing sound. Was it a call from heaven?

Slowly-slowly, he lost his consciousness. The whole floor was filled with blood; pretty much looked like a murder scene.
