Chapter 1: Accepting Ownership
"Fuck it's cold," I say to myself as I get out of my car. Trying to warm myself up as I walk up to my store, I think about just calling my employees and giving them the day off so I can go back to my house and to my bed.
But nooo, I have to be responsible and make that bread. Though I should complain too much since the only reason I have this store was due to luck.
Since I managed to win the lottery, unfortunately, I wasn't the only one who had good luck, and I had to split the money with someone else. Then taxes took a good chunk of it away as well, and even though I was left with a good chunk of money I wasn't sure if I could live off it for the rest of my life so I decided to open up a store.
But I'm lazy so I didn't want to do too much work, so I opened up a pawn shop. I still had to buy a bunch of random shit to get it started, and I still had to work, but it was better than my previous job. It was slow at first, but it really picked up after a month of being open.
"I really hate winter mornings," I said as I opened the door to my shop.
Going inside, I see a bunch of random shit along the walls, cabinets, and display cases. From instruments, jewelry, baseball cards, autographed memorabilia, and a bunch of other random crap. Some of it I bought, but most of it was from what people have brought in to sell. After doing this for more than two years, you see a lot of things come and go, the things people bring in range from badass to just plain weird. I've also made quite a bit of money on some deals as well as lost a bunch of money on other deals.
Now, as the boss you would think I could have my employees open and close the shop, but I've learned my lesson. Good thing I had insurance on the really expensive stuff. The police did catch him eventually, and I got most of my stuff back, but it taught me a valuable lesson. Never let your laziness get the better of you since I knew the risk of allowing someone to open the store for me. But due to my hatred of waking up early, I took that risk. But that's all in the past. Now I just need to focus on getting ready to open the store.
Going to the back, I start making a batch of coffee for myself and my employees. As it gets started, I go to my office to look over some things before I open the store.

Suddenly, I hear a loud crashing sound coming from the front of the store.
"Fuck"
Was all I could say before getting up and going to look.
'I know I didn't want to work today but I didn't want this to happen.'
We're my thoughts as I open the door to see what happened in the front. Though I knew what happened already, some crashed into my store. Even though I know there was a chance it may not have been there fault, but 9 times out of 10 it is there fault due to people being dumb fucks.

Suddenly I feel like I was stabbed by a hot knife through my shoulder with tremendous force. Realizing what was going on I didn't fight the force and let it drop me onto the ground.

Good thing too, since two more shots rang out soon after. Quickly rolling over and crawling back into my office and out of sight. Yeah it was painful but this wasn't my first time being shot and I doubt it would be the last. It was kind of a risk that came with owning a pawn shop. Plus the neighborhood I was raised in got me used to gunfire so I wasn't freaking out due to being shot.
"Did I get that fucker?" I heard someone ask.
"It doesn't matter he won't be getting up anytime soon. Now hurry up and get as much as you can before the cops get here."
"Yeah, yeah just take care of the security alarm."
"On it, but even if it is early in the morning and there won't be many people around, there will be someone that eventually notices us so hurry up."

'It seems like they started breaking the display cases.'
As I hear their conversations I get up when I'm sure they can't see me and get my Benelli M4 shotgun. But I can't help but frown when I hear one of them knows the security alarm code.
'Whatever, I'll deal with it later for now let's get this over with,' I think as I finish loading the shotgun and press the panic button in my office.
I carefully made my way to the doorway so I would remain out of sight. As I do that my shoulder hurts like hell but it's bearable.
'Fuck it feels like I took a bat to the shoulder.'
Though I could wait until the cops get here I'm sure they will notice I'm not dead before they arrive. And since they already tried to kill me once I doubt they'll leave me alive.
"Hey, he's not here!"
I heard as I got to the doorside, I quickly went out just in time to see the guy shouting toward the other robbers. He was turning his head around to talk to them, so without hesitation, I pulled the trigger before quickly ducking for cover behind the counters.

As I get behind cover, I quickly start to move before hearing them shout a name, most likely the guy's name that I just shot full of holes. Followed by a bunch of shots to the place I was just at. When I heard the clicks, I stood back up and saw three more guys still in the store. Two had guns and were standing on either side of the store. The thread guy was still in the car, ready to get out of here.

"Fuck!!!" Shouted the thread.
As I was going to shoot at him, I thought he was going to try to get away. But I was going to let him get off scot free. I'm a firm believer of if you fuck around, you find out, and he's going to find out. But to my disbelief he wasn't trying to get away, he was driving towards me. It shocked me, causing me to freeze up for a second before I started to unload the rest of my rounds on him due to it being too late to get out of the way.

Unfortunately, it was useless. The car crashed into me, pinning me to the wall. Funneling enough, I didn't feel any pain even though I knew my mid section was crushed. Must have been that thing of your body feeling so much pain that it shuts down the pain receptors or something.
"Cough, cough, fuck this sucks cough," was all I could say as I started coughing up blood.
As I use the last of my strength to look up at the driver I see was riddled with holes.

As my consciousness starts to fade, I hear the police sirens in the distance.
"Took them cough, long enough cough, cough."

What's going on? As I wake up from what I feel like a long sleep, I see a screen in front of me with a choice. I also realized I had no body, I was something of a floating consciousness.

It said again without giving me any type of explanation on what's going on.

"Fine, whatever, take over the shop. Whatever is going on can't be worse than death."
As soon as I said that, I regretted it because there were a lot of things that could be worse than death that came immediately to my mind

When it said that, a button was placed in front of me. As I wondered how I was going to press it without a body. Some force seemed to press it. Suddenly, a bunch of names started to pass by the screen as I'm able to read some of them. I got excited due to seeing names like Itachi, Goku, Sephiroth, Hades, and Gojo. But the excitement was short-lived as I also saw the names of Sakura, Joffrey Baratheon, Hera, and the deep sea king. As the names slowed down, I prayed not to get something useless.

When Beelzebub was chosen, I had mixed feelings. But then the screen showed multiple Beelzebub, from the baby beel to a demonic looking creature with a fly head. Looking through them, I see several women as well, like Beelzebub from helltaker. Most of them I don't recognize, some of them are clearly from animes I haven't seen. I keep looking through them until I come across one body that was a tall man that had black messy hair, deep black eyes, and dressed all in black with a purple sash-like cloth that reached all the way to his thighs.
It was the Beelzebub from the Records of Ragnarok. So, I chose this body since it was pretty powerful, and I knew what he was capable of.

'Reasonable request huh, then I would like to be able to use ki from Dragon ball.'
<Denied, due to DB ki not being part of the ROR universe>
Does the request have to be something from the same universe? Let's do some tests to see how much I can get out of this.

It looks like it has to be something from that universe, but it can't be too excessive.

That's weird. As far as I remember, only characters with wings can fly in ROR. Yet it still accepted that wish. Must have been because the power to fly is not that useful by itself.

God dammit, just when I thought I was starting to figure this thing out.

Even though it will cause small changes to my personality, the pros far outway the cons.

After a bright light, I realize I'm in a body again, and this one feels far more powerful and awake than my last body ever felt. In fact, it felt all my senses far exceed anything my past body could ever dream of reaching.

<Welcome to the multiversal pawn shop. The rules for the shop are the following:
•All daily necessities such as food and living situations will be taken care of by the shop free of charge
•You can sell or trade anything in the shop for equal or greater amount of the items worth, but it can be sold or traded for a lesser amount
You can buy or trade any item in the shop for an equal amount of the items worth
•Anything you receive as payment, whether it be money, items, or services, will all belong to you and up to you how to use them
•No stealing or fighting in the store. All violations of the rules will be met with severe punishment even if you are the offender
•The shop will teleport to a random world and be accessible by random people in that world
•The shop will not be fixed to a specific time in that world it is in unless you step out into that world then the shop will be fixed to that time axes and won't jump around to the future or the past anymore
•You will be able to accept delivery requests to other worlds, but you will have to collect some type of payment for the services
