Chapter 11: The Reason to Learn Magic
[Ceobe POV]
"What just happened?" I said to myself as I watched the drama between sir Gyes and Eris.
Judging from what I heard, sir Gyes was upset about a certain person when he asked about the origin of Eris's ring. I think it was said to be Ghislaine.
'Hold on, was that the name of mister Geese's party member?' I thought to myself.
Thinking about it made a lot of sense. Ghislaine left the village and she probably met Geese in some point.
However, there were some parts of the story that I do not yet understand.
Anyway, there's no point thinking about that matter, so I just need move on from that.
After I ended my contemplation, I saw Tersena leaving the cottage as well.
"[Tersena, wait for me]" I said while following her to the doorway.
When we both exit the cottage, we saw more of the drama on the walkway.
"Why can't you understand?! Ghislaine is an amazing person!"
It seems Eris is crying about something to sir Gyes. She kept on telling him about Ghislaine and how much of a respected person she was to her.
Sir Gyes had a hard time comprehending Eris's words, so Rudeus steps forward and tried to calm Eris down. He also confirms all of her claims about Ghislaine, which troubles sir Gyes even more.
Eventually, sir Gyes gave in and all of us went back to our respective homes.
I too went home where mother is waiting for me.

In that evening, I had another dream.
I was in the dark void once again and a beast girl with mushrooms on her head appeared in front of me.
"Who are you?" I asked her.
"....."
The mushroom beast girl didn't answer my question. Instead, she pointed her finger at me and spoke.
"Learn magic, Ceobe"
"Huh?"
I was confused by beast girl's words, so I asked her what was the reason why I should learn magic.
"It is very important"
"How so?"
"Your life depends on it"
I was shocked to hear that learning magic was that important. I asked her more information about this matter like why my life was involved in this and how do I learn magic?
However, instead of answering my questions, the mushroom turns around and walks away without elaborating herself.
"Hey, where are you going? Come back" I said while following the beast girl.
I continued following the girl who doesn't stop walking away from me, even if tried to call for her.
Eventually, she stops on a certain point and just stand there without saying anything. I approach the beast girl and tried asking her.
"Hey, are you okay?"
"...."
Once again, the mushroom beast girl is not responding to my question. And just like earlier, she raises her arm and points at a certain direction.
I look at the direction of where she was pointing and saw five figures on the distant, one grown man with brown hair along with four women by his side.
Confused on what am I looking at, I look back at the beast girl and asked.
"Who were they?"
"The future"
And after she said that, she disappeared and so were the five figures on the distant.

On the next morning, I woke up and felt a bit light-headed from the dream I had last night.
Remembering that dream is quite surreal and bizarre, especially the five figures I saw in the end.
Other than the man with brown hair, I also remembered the four women on his sides.
I believe I saw a white-haired elf, a blue-haired magician, a red-haired swordswoman and lastly, a brown-haired beast woman.
'I wonder were those people' I thought to myself, unable to figure out their identities.
Not only that, I couldn't figure out how do they correlate to my life and the reason for me to learn magic.
Perhaps if I do what the dream told me, these people will probably appear in the future.
Maybe... Only time will tell when my action matters the most.

After I finished eating breakfast with mother, I told her that I will be going to Rudeus' place and left the house.
Halfway to my destination, I spotted Eris and the other beast girls doing something on the distant. Curious on what they were doing, I head towards the walkway where Rudeus' cottage was.
When I arrived at the place, I saw Rudeus, sir Gyes and the Holy Beast were casually watching the three girls on the deck.
As I went closer to them, I heard their conversation using my dog ears.
"Ghislaine also practiced magic from me"
"Hahaha, Ghislaine doing magic? You're got to be joking, sir Rudeus"
Judging from what I heard, they were talking about Ghislaine once again. However, this time it is about Rudeus teaching magic to the person, which sir Gyes tries to dismiss.
Given that it might be the best opportunity to insert myself to the conversation, I approach the three individuals.
"Did someone say magic?" I casually said as I arrived at their position.
"Ah, Ceobe. We're just talking about Ghislaine learning magic"
"I see, I guess my ears were right all along" I said while twitching my dog ears.
Both of them laughs on my statement and continued their conversation.
"So, Rudeus. Were you really serious about what you said earlier?"
"Yup, Ghislaine actually learned it along with mathematics, reading and writing" Rudeus confirms, as well as adding some other information to make it more believable.
"Wow, that's amazing, Rudeus. You really are a great teacher"
"Thanks, Ceobe"
"Can I also have a try?"
When Rudeus heard my statement, he looks confused and asked.
"Try what?"
"You know, learning magic and those other stuffs. Can I give it a try?"
Once I clarify my words, Rudeus ponders for a while before giving me his answer.
"Sure, why not. I can teach you"
Hearing his approval, I smiled at him and wag my tail.
"Really? Thank you, Rudeus~"
