"What?!"

"We found him." Rhyland repeated somberly.

"Emery is dead." Aubrey said with a blank voice.

"No, he survived the explosion. He's alive."

"Where is he?!" She asked hurriedly.

"Aubrey… don't be alarmed. But your brother, he… he's been turned."

"What do you mean turned?"

"He's no longer human."

"Well of course, he's a faerie." Aubrey said matter of factly.

"No, that's not what I mean. Aubrey. Your brother, he's a vampire."

"Bwahahahaha! Rhyland Darling are you mad?!"

"Aubrey, listen to me." He said exasperatedly. "I didn't want to have to show you this." Rhyland played a video on his phone. It was of the gruesome battle between Emery and Dimitri and himself. In the video, it showed clearly how a masked Emery decapitated each and everyone of the security detail before heading off to attack Valentin Korotkoff.
