Chapter 14: Meeting about??
"Get in...we don't have time," Liam says as he opens the car door to let Rose in.
Rose enters the car while Liam closes the door and settles in quietly.
The entire travel went without a hitch, with no traffic or other road issues.
After a three-hour ride, Liam and Rose finally arrived in front of the meeting building, gasping at the tall and well-organized structure with its appreciation glasses and black marble that is ultra polished on every inch.
Rose takes a step forward and smiles as she exclaims, "It's huge."
"Let's go... probably everyone has already come," Liam says as he gathers the paperwork and unbuttons his coat on his way to the gate.
Rose nods and follows Liam inside.
"Well, well, isn't it the talented young man with the passionate attractive young girl," remarks Mr. Marco, the meeting's host.
As they approach the sofa to take a seat before proceeding to the hall, Liam and Rose bow in thanks.
Mrs. Denta approaches Liam with a stack of papers, indicating Rose and Liam with her fingers and saying, "These are the papers that will be produced for the company's final concept, so make sure that these are delivered to both of you after the meeting."
Liam nods as Rose stands up and says, "I need to use the restroom."
Liam nods and adds, "Go ahead... I'm going to fetch some tea."
Rose exits the area and enters the restroom, locking herself in.
"Time to go guys...the general has already arrived," Liam says as he walks to the restroom to summon Rose for the meeting.
"Rose come out the meeting is about to start," Liam says quietly as he knocks on the door.
"Hold up just a minute," Rose barks back.
Rose approaches the conference door with her files as Liam steps inside in a soop, not looking at her.
Rose opens the door and sits quietly in the chair, caressing her clothes with her hands.
"We'd want to have everyone get up for a minute while the general makes his announcement," the assistant says, as everyone stands and bows as the general speaks.
"We, as goalkeepers, must continue on our journey. Now be seated for our own betterment and faithful future."
As everyone takes a seat, they begin to express their gratitude to the group.
"So.....in conclusion, we decided to develop a cheaper type of material and make them more attractive so that the inexpensive garments can obtain a fancy look," a France employee says as he draws on the white board.
Rose went quiet, didn't look here or there, and sat quietly with her eyes closed.
"Can we get your business concept Liam?" Liam nods as the general inquires.
"Sir, I'm glad that my company is one of a kind in that we supply a colonge without any special training. So our directors have chosen to make certain specific improvements in the working procedure."
The head says, thrilled, "I will thank you with the task."
Liam sits on his chair, bowing.
"Next, go on to.....Rose," the assistant says.
As Rose stands up and says, "My father left me a challenging job since the company is moving up in the world and diamonds are in high demand."
As Rose adds "I've decided that the same old diamond patterns and cuts aren't excellent for readily surprising buyers.....so I'm working on the design as well as the colour of diamonds, thank you."
Rose takes a seat while bowing to the general.
"All of the newcomers have done an excellent job and have made a positive impression on us. I would like to close the meeting here and Mrs. Denta will confirm the remaining details. Please excuse me."
As the general departs, each employee stands to bow in thanks before departing one by one.
Liam steps out of the gate and picks up a crucial call as Rose packs her bags and leaves the room.
Rose sits on the sofa, her stomach growling with hunger.
"Did everything go well?" Michel inquires of Liam.
"Yess...but I suppose Rose is hungry because she looked pale since she arrived at the meeting place," Liam tells Michel.
"Should we take her to Grandpa's restaurant?" Michel inquires, as Liam replies, "Yess, I believe it would be excellent," and hangs up the phone.
Liam returns to the hall and discovers Rose sitting on the sofa with her stomach clenched.
"We're going to eat lunch," Liam says as he approaches her.
Rose looks at him, nods, and asks, "Where?"
"Just come already, Michel is going to pick up," Liam says.
"You know there's a pub around here," Rose says as she stands up.
"Can we go to the pub after we finish our lunch?" As he scrolls through his phone, Liam nods.
Michel arrives with the car and enters the building, where he notices Liam and Rose sitting on the sofa. He approaches them and says, "Let's go."
Liam joins Rose in getting up and entering the car with her bags.
Michel drives the car easily to the restaurant and arrives on time.
Liam walks to the restaurant and books three tables of three chairs Rose and Michel wait outside.
As Liam announces, "We have a spot available," and both of them proceed to take their seats alongside Liam.
After a few minutes of waiting, Rose places her order with the waiter, saying, "We will have pork belly with sauce, two bowls of veg salad with prawns, and egg noodles with beef and the white wine with the berry taste thank you."
As the waiter takes down her order and says, "Your order will take twenty minutes to serve please wait" before bowing and leaving.
"Wanna smoke, Liam?" Michel inquires of Liam, lighting one in front of Rose.
Liam declines as the waiter brings the white wine, which had been chilling in the ice bucket, to their table and adds, "We have something to offer before your main meal, so kindly accept that," as they all nod to the server.
