Chapter 22: Reasoning

"Because I cannot be a part of your world." I told him, "I hate that place." I stepped back, "I really think this is some sort of mistake."
Calix thought about my words, "Are you referring to the class?" I nodded, "If that's the problem you don't need to become a part of it."
"What?" I was surprised at his words.
"Fate makes no mistake." He said, "Even you know how easily your body matched with me. It's because we're a pair."
His words made me blush as they reminded of our night together.
"Uh-" I looked away, "T- that's a different thing." Why mention that?!?
"Rave, listen to me." He had a serious expression on, "If you don't want to become a part of the elite society then don't." He kept looking at my face and his stare was making me sort of hot, "But at least don't reject me."
I couldn't exactly look at him but I couldn't look away either. So my gaze was a confused mess, "How is that possible?"
"Live with me." He said, "I have a pent house. Come with me. No one will bother you there."
"And if I refuse?" I said, "There is no way your idea will work." I was determined, "Temporarily maybe... But that's all."
There was a moment of silence between us.
He then closed his eyes and sighed, "I can't force you." He said and then there was a pause before he spoke further, "But we've already connected once. Your body will accept nothing other than me." He stood up and took a step back, "What will you do then?"
He stared down at me, this time with an angry expression but for some reason that made my heart race as well.
What the hell is wrong with you Raven???!!
I looked away, "I'll manage." I gave him a stern reply.
"I see," He then took something out of his pocket and placed it in the side pocket of my backpack, "If you ever change your mind. This is where my penthouse is."
He then turned and left with a cold expression on his face.
He was probably not expecting me to reject him like this but I can't do this...
I didn't even look at what he placed in my bag and walked away.
But, because I had begun to reject him, the pain my chest began to grow. I got the part where I was feeling empty but there was something else that bothered me.
The further I walked away, the deeper the stinging in my chest got.
I felt my steps get heavier too.
By the time I reached home at sun set, my head had started to become hot and heavy as well.
What the hell is going on?
I was fine the whole day!
As I entered the hallway I suddenly felt dizzy, my legs got wobbly and I fell to the floor all of the sudden.
It was at that moment I realized something.
My omega was fighting with me for some reason.
My chest began to hurt and my body started aching.
"Rave?" Sister Agatha saw me and came to my help. She brought me to my room and laid me down on the bed, "Child, what's wrong?"
"I don't know..." I told her, "I feel like my omega is fighting with me."
"Your omega?" She was surprised at my statement, "Why would your omega fight with you?" She shook her head.
"I don't know!!" I clenched my chest, "But she's acting up pretty bad!" I felt the pain increase.
Sister Agatha thought about it, "This kind of thing doesn't really happen." She thought about it, "I haven't really heard of it happening." She looked at me.
"Then why?!"
She shook her head, unsure of what to say when something clicked in her mind, "I've read something..." A memory came to her.
"What?" I felt like someone was trying to tear something inside me.
"This can happen during a rejection." She said.
"Huh?"
"Not a normal one, but a rejection between a fated pair who have been together."
The pain suddenly increased and I felt my whole body jolt in pain, "Sister!" I looked at her in fear, "What do I do?"
"Did you reject that boy?" She asked with pity and panic in her eyes, "That Dom Alpha?" She placed her hands on mine, "He's your pair isn't he?"
I nodded, "Yes..." I whispered.
"It's because you're rejecting a fated bond." She said, "And not just someone you saw, it's someone you've already been intimate with and I believe your omega is mad. She wants her fated Alpha."
"Sister..." I gulped as beads of sweats ran down my skin, "What do I do?" The pain brought tears to my eyes, "It hurts so bad!"
Agatha shook her head, "The decision is yours child. You can either go to him and ease the pain or keep rejecting him and go through this hell."
"Is there anyway I could have avoided it?" I looked at her in pain, "It hurts so bad!"
"Yes," She nodded, "If perhaps you hadn't connected with him this wouldn't have been so hard." She stroked my head, "But your omega has now attached herself to his Alpha and she doesn't want to let go."
"Sister..." Tears streamed down my eyes as I thought about my rash decision of sleeping with Calix.
I should have pushed him away! Why did I give into my lust?!?
She patted my head as my inner omega began to claw at me in anger, "Rave, this fight is yours now." She stood up, "This isn't something painkillers will help with either since it's a fight with your wolf." She stood up and began to walk out, "Make a wise decision my child." She looked back at me with worry, "If you want I can give you a sleeping drug. If nothing else, you'll be unconscious and oblivious of the pain but I doubt it'll go away so easily."
"How long? If I do reject him completely! How long will the pain last?"
"I don't know." Agatha said, "It depends on your omega." She looked stressed, "What do you want to do child?"
