Chapter 3: Chapter 2 - My Flu System
"Cyrill!" I called his name out, he looked just like an idiot standing without saying anything. After a while, he seemed to return to reality and remembered we were in the middle of doing something.
"I'm sorry." He said, did something happen? He doesn't look like his usual self. "Which box again?"
"T'was the green one." He handed me the box and when it was in my hands, I felt chills electrocuting my body, however, I was filled with sudden excitement. "Weird." I whispered.
"Okay, now open it." He commanded, but I still think its kind of some prank, and hesitated.
"It's not a prank." He said with a serious face. Dang, I was just joking.
"Alright, alright, chill." I turned my attention to the box. It was not very big, the material was metal covered with green paint. While staring at the green box, I don't really want to open it.
"Come on," said Cyrill. He lifted the box's lid and it opened up.
The two were shocked at what they saw. A sharp golden piece of metal that looked like a horn was revealed, with big green emerald stone attached in its lower part, and four small green stones in each triangular corner. The details engraved on it were stained with green blood.
"It looks old." Said Hugh. "Is this what your brother wants me to have?"
"Yes, it's an artifact." Hugh slowly picked up the artifact, he looked at it closely. His eyes went to the emerald stone at the end, "This stone looks-" he didn't finish what he was going to say as the sharp horn-looking artifact suddenly bursted rays of blinding lights!
They immediately closed their eyes. "What's happening?!" Hugh shouted. "I don't know!" Cyrill shouted back.
"Ah!" Hugh cried out when he felt a pang in his left arm. "What's going on ?!" Cyrill asked, he tried to look up but the light but it was too much for his eyes to bear.
Hugh sat on the floor in excruciating pain in his left arm, as if it was burning it while eating the inside.
"Argh!"
A few seconds passed, both the pain and blinding light were gone.
"Huh, what the hell happened?"
"Hugh? Are you okay?" Cyrill immediately approached me.
"Where-" Cyrill didn't finish what he was about to say when his gaze suddenly moved to Hugh's arm. But what surprised Hugh more was the strange green panel in front of him.

"Do you see it, Cyrill?" I asked then pointed to what was in front of me. "Which one? The artifact on your arm?" Only now did Hugh noticed that the artifact he was holding was already in his arm, and the only thing he could see was its emerald.
"Um." Cyrill broke the silence, "I'm leaving first. The red box is right there." he said.
I was just staring at the floating panel in front of me. "Hugh, go to sleep first," he said, he walked out of my room, stopped then opened the door. "Remember we're only going to inject in 1 week," he said and left.
After an hour, Hugh was still staring at the panel in front of him. "I did my research earlier, this is an artifact, Mana Stone." He touched the Emerald stone.
"This thing is the Mana Stone." he says. "Not all the information is accessible, all it says is that, Mana Stones are rare and powerful."
Hugh sat up straight as the word written on the panel suddenly changed.

It was also replaced by a new word.

Hugh suddenly felt a strange feeling in his body, as if a soul had entered him.

I was looking at the green panel in front of me.

"Wait, what?!" Hugh panics because of the sequence of events. "Be Infected? I'm healthy? MFS?" he asked in succession.
As soon as Hugh said those words, a status screen appeared right before his eyes.

"This panel looks familiar," he stated. "My Flu System, huh?" Hugh said as he remembers an old game he was playing.
Hugh noticed a series of tabs on the right side of the panel. However, there were only two tabs accessible as the others were still locked.
'Task Panel.' he said in his mind. The virtual screen has been replaced from 'Character Profile' to 'Task Panel'.

-Be infected with any type of flu or disease.
Hugh immediately thought, "Be infected?" he asked himself, confusedly.
"That's right!" he said happily like he had a eureka moment. He took off his jacket before he left the house.
"If you want to catch some flu or be sick," he said as he looks at the building with a virtual screen. "The Activation is still ongoing! Go to Ely Hospital, and access your ability!"
"That's right! Go to the hospital!"
