Chapter 7: Rewards! Oh the rewards!
Getting to know Marco was nice but Vincent wasn't too good with other people. He gave the young lad his phone number and ushered him to go away.
Then he made a run for it. Now, he was back at home. Seated on his study chair and ready to reveal the two cards. Excitement raced through his veins as he opened the panel.
"Blu, let's see the rewards. Reveal all cards!"
[Access granted]
[Revealing Normal card…]
[Card Name: Bottomless Grocery Bag!]
[Card type: Item]
[Description: An ordinary-looking leather bag that never runs out of space. You can use it to carry an astonishing amount of supplies without the hassle of bulky containers.]
Immediately, the card glowed and shattered, becoming sparklings shards of crude radiance, too bright that Vincent had to look away for a while to save his sight.
A brown leather cross shoulder bag weaved out of the air. As it fell to the ground, Vincent caught it. A blank surprise on his face.
He inspected the bag. It was a normal black and brown leather bag with a strap that could go over his shoulder. It had no brand name but looked like a very good quality product.
Vincent wore it over his shoulder. The bag was cool but it's main function was what made it cooler. Vincent grinned. He grabbed his overfilled backpack and began transferring the textbooks in it to the cross bag.
When he was done, the bag did not change in shape, it didn't even look like it contained anything. Vincent lifted it, he noticed their was a slight increase in its weight and it didn't even seem to be an issue.
'Awesome. This is awesome!'
How is something like this even possible? That's an headache question that Vincent was not going to bother himself with.
This bag was the perfect thing he needed, his backpack had already torn so it was all for the better. Suddenly, he was looking forward to school tomorrow.
Vincent turned to the next card.

[Card name: Swift Serpent Strike]
[Card type: Skill]

Vincent's eyes widened.
'An attack skill?!!'
He went blank for a few seconds. He didn't have anything to say and just stared into the card floating before his eyes. An attack skill, was this even supposed to be possible?!
This was cheating! Cheating!
'Wait, is it even real?'
Vincent shook his head. 'No, I know better than anybody. This thing has to be the real deal.'
With a glee on his face. Vincent activated the skill card, all he just had to do was think about. His hands shot forward in a quick jab faster than his eyes could catch up to.
He could literally feel his fist part the wind as the burst forward in quick motion.
He paused and stared down at his hands, although he now felt a bit stressed on the muscles just from throwing a few jabs…
'I guess my body is not strong enough to handle a rank E skill. Still this is amazing'
It would essentially change everything for him. No… he was not ready to think about how much change and possibilities that could happen to him. Not until he saw the last card.

[Card name: Get Taller! Shortie!!]
[Card type: utility(one-time use)]
Vincent's expression crumpled with disgust. He was never going to used to this lame naming sense. Not when they seem to be throwing shades at him.
'Who are you calling shortie you bastard.'
But a spark of expectation ignited in his chest, he looked down to see the description of the card. Hoping for what it can do.
[Description: Damn! Your height is nothing to write home about. How are you supposed to make enemies cower when you are so close to the ground, everyone basically looks down on you. Here take a little growth bean and add a whooping feet to your height]

Vincent closed his eyes, every word pierced him like a deadly arrow. But nothing more filled his heart than an elated and overwhelming joy.
The card shattered, sparks of light gathered to form a small black bean on Vincent's hand.
He looked at it carefully.
'If I take this… I will grow by a feet.'
At this point, Vincent gave up on seeking answers to what Blue was. This was it, the was the change his life needed. All he needed to do was embrace and not question it anymore.
"If truly this is real and I really grow by a whole fret, then I won't doubt you again… ever again."
Vincent opened his mouth and threw the black bean into it, swallowing smoothly. He waited to see what was going to happen, however nothing happened.
Nothing was happening even after a few more minutes… he just felt a little sleepy.
Vincent yawned and sluggishly walked to his bed, he pulled the hoodie and slumped lazily to the bed, legs spread apart. In a minute or two, he was already snoring.
And then the change came…
