Chapter 19: Extended Prologue | Part 18
Kai Chisaki better known as Overhaul. He was wearing a black dress shirt with matching dress pants, a pale gray tie around his neck and a belt with a long, thin buckle around his waist, with three beaded lobe piercings in his left ear. Over this, he was wearing a dark olive-green bomber jacket with a thick purple fur collar and white lace-up sneakers with tan soles and no socks. The white surgical gloves he wears on his hands and the magenta plague mask he wears over his mouth, which is tipped and embroidered with gold, are his most distinguishing features.
The Yakuza were once a notorious criminal group working in Japan. But after the age of heroes, they like other criminal organization started to decline in power. Now they only had a handful of bases in Japan.
Kai Chisaki the young Yakuza leader hoped to revive their former glory. So they set up their own base in here. In Masima City, near the port. Easy for illegal sea shipments to come and go.
The area around here was mostly abandoned and government wasn't doing anything with it. So he took over.
They could easily send drugs and support gear out to the criminals all around Japan with this port. And Kai was smart enough to feed extra amounts of money to the local law enforcements. It was so they wouldn't spoil with his plan.
But today something happened that not only compromised their base but also their main product.
He first thought that it was some mole from the competing gangs or someone stuck-up hero. But when he found out it was Dabi, he was almost shocked.
A year ago he recruited the flame user himself, a dark horse so to speak. And he was loyal, or so he thought. It was a mistake. Not only did the flame user take down several members of the 'eight bullets' he also destroyed all the drugs that they smuggled in a few days ago.
It was a grave mistake from his part for recruiting him, and now Overhaul came personally to clear out his mistake.
Kai looked at Dabi with cold eyes. Dabi should have been injured, but seeing him well, made him raise his eyebrow. Did Eri use her quirk? Well, you learn new things everyday. So she was hiding her abilities. He made a self note to discipline her when she was captured.
But this wasn't the time for this. He moved his attention to Dabi. He needed to crush the bug first.

Dabi looked at Overhaul. He wasn't sure if he could take him on with his powers. His quirk was something that was akin to a miracle. An unique quirk that would have been very useful in a hero's line of work. Yet he was here, making people's lives miserable.
Dabi hated him for what he did to Eri. And he was going to stop him right here.
Dabi called his Blue flames out. Before he could do anything earth spikes erupted from where he was. But he was quick to move away. But this time the spikes didn't follow him.
Instead a man was flung from the ground as he dropped by Kai's side.
"I am sorry boss." The man said. "I am out of time." He huffed.
Kai looked at him with disinterest, before nodding.
Wait, all this time, I was fending off against Mimic, not Overhaul. That's some next level quirk-enhancement drug. Which was bad, even with Eri's help, Dabi was still running low on stamina. And Overhaul was still full of energy, where he wasn't. He wasn't sure if he could take Overhaul full on.
"You almost destroyed my organization, my years of hard work. And you think that I will let you go that easily?" Overhaul said, before removing his gloves. "I have other things to do, but I will take my time killing you." His hands went on his pocket, before he took a vial out.
Dabi's eyes widened as the Yakuza leader injected the quirk-enhancement drug in his bloodstreams.
Shit. Dabi's flames erupted from his hands, but it was too late, as a concrete wall, blocked it.
The Yakuza leader stiffened for a second, as he supported himself with a wall, or so Dabi thought. The surroundings around Overhaul started to change shape before they took the shape of spikes heading Dabi's way.
He moved his legs spinning backwards using his acrobatics to doge them. But the attack was only a distraction. As Dabi saw a wave of earth take away the body of Raikiya who was at the verge of death. Kai knelled down to his subordinate's body as he placed his hands on him.
And in front of his eyes Dabi saw how Overhaul 'fixed' him. Dabi's eyes widened. Not only was his quirk powerful, but it had many useful functions. Just for a moment Toya envied his opponent. But he quickly shook his head. He was Dabi now, and he wasn't going to let his emotions get in his way.
When Overhaul was finished he looked at Dabi, his hands already placed on a nearby wall. And suddenly massive earth spikes erupted from the ground, as they chased towards their target like a snake.
Dabi's flames erupted from his hands, as he started countering and dodging the earth spikes thrown at him. They were bigger and more stronger than Mimic's earth spikes, they were even faster, making Dabi dodge and throw fire blasts from time to time. Even with that small injuries were stacking up.
