Chapter 1: Chapter 1; prologue
" Agaaaaahhhhh!"
A soul screeched in the midst of the empty outer space. It floated so far away from earth.
It continued to wither in agony. The mortal soul wasn't strong enough to continue on much further.
But it wasn't alone.
From behind it, another continued to push it forward. Once that soul started to lag behind, the other would push them forward.
One step, scream. Go forward. Scream.
' Remember, remember!'
They continued to relive their memories in order to keep their sanity. From their earliest memory to the day they died, they repeated everything.
Like this, they spent a long, long time going forward. They didn't know where they were heading. They just... continued to move forward. They didn't know what else to do. They were stuck here.
It was dark. Empty. Suffocatingly silent. Even the stars were dim.
They were tired, yes, but they wanted to live. No matter the amount of pain they drowned in, their desire to live remained aflame. They wished, desperately so, for their pain to end, for someone to save them.
And so, their wish was heard. By a God.
