Chapter 25: Chapter 25 : First Battle - Yugen VS Thunder Serpents Gang
the trio throwed the cards on the table and looked at Yugen just like the other delinquents, but it was only for a moment before a blond haired boy, with a muscular build and a more pronounced pompadour hairstyle, wearing a black leather jacket with a white serpent emblem on it. he also wears a white T-shirt underneath, with white baggy pants cuffed at the ankles. and black high-top sneakers. he had a fierce expression on his face, obviously displeased that someone interrupted their game.
He scanned Yugen, seeing that he was covering his face, he retrieved the cards and sneered.
"just ignore him, a clown who didn't even dare to show his face isn't worthy our attention."
on his right, a black haired boy with red hairs strands, putting a wireless headphone around his neck, wearing a black leather jacket with the logo of the thunder serpents on it. and a ripped skinny black jeans, and high-top red sneakers with graffiti-style designs. with Multiple ear piercings, was grinning excitedly.
"Finally, something interesting! Nah, do you wanna dance? Which gang are you rockin' with? or maybe, you are here to seek revenge?" he asked with palpable excitement, as if he couldn't wait for Yugen to say yes so they could get into a lively brawl.
"Hayachi, why are you always so hasty? This guy seems pretty self-confident. Don't underestimate him. Before jumping into a brawl, let the brothers dip their toes and find out what this dude's quirk is. We can use that info to come up with a better plan."
"Oh, you've got a point, Takeshi!"
the boy called Takeshi had a stoic and calm expression on his face, he has a shaved head with a distinct silver chain tattoo on his scalp. He wears a black sukajan jacket adorned with a snake motif. Takeshi wears black pants that are loose-fitting and cuffed at the ankles, and he wears on his feet a high top white sneakers.
seeing that they were talking between themselves, Yugen let out a dry cough to bring back their attention.
"Ahem, let me introduce myself, You can call me The savior! Today, I'm on a sacred mission to guide you back on the right path and end the suffering of the helpless powerless students and residents of this city. so I'll give you two choices,"
Yugen raised the index finger and said in a playful tone "Numero uno: Disband, and never be naughty again."
"And, if that's too much for your tiny brains, we move on to option two"
he raised his middle finger, His voice turned colder and more menacing." I'll personally rearrange your faces so even your own moms won't recognize you. So, what's it your choice, Kiddos?"
Yugen's declaration echoed through the alley, and in response, laughter erupted among the delinquents.
"HA HA HA, THE SAVIOR?! YOU THINK YOU ARE ALLMIGHT OR WHAT?"
"OI OI OI, DID YOU HEAR IT? HE WANTS US TO DISBAND?" Another chimed in, his tone filled with mockery as he exchanged disbelieving glances with his comrades, he can't believe that someone will make this kind of request in front of a gang.
"HAH! WHO DO YOU THINK YOURSELF BASTATRD!"
"WE ARE THE ONES WHO WILL BEAT YOU UNTIL YOU CAN'T RECOGNIZE YOURSELF."
The delinquents starts screaming and mocking Yugen.
"did you hear it Ryuji? he told you to disband the gang? his humor is not bad, well, he Successfully provoked the brothers, he is the one who needs to be saved now." Hayachi chuckled, it had been a long time since someone dared to provoke them.
Ryuji, the blond haired boy, who seems to be the leader, spited on the ground in disgust at Yugen's words and sneered, "So, he's a wannabe hero, Hmph, the people I detest the most. YOU BASTARDS, TEACH HIM A GOOD LESSON FOR ME, OR ELSE I'LL BEAT YOUR ASSES!" His voice resonated with anger, a clear command that brooked no disobedience
Hearing the order, the delinquents rushed toward Yugen all at once, Yugen jumped back to avoid being surrounded, he must maintain a distance or else he will be overwhelmed by their numbers.
"HE IS Mine!" a boy holding a metal bat took the lead, his speed suddenly increased, and when he reached a suitable distance, he waved his bat horizontally towards Yugen head.
"My Quirk allows me to walk two steps in one step! So.." The baseball bat boy had a confident grin on his face, his quirk although not good in battles, but as long as he used it wisely he can achieve unexpected results. just like now.
"DIE, MADAFAKA!"
Although Yugen was caught off guard he still managed to tilt his head back slightly, narrowly evading the thick bat that grazed the tip of his nose. Ignoring the pain, he quickly adjusted his stance, his fist clenched and charged with power. Activating his quirk, he delivered a seemingly simple punch, yet his fist vanished and reappeared beneath the chin of the metal bat-wielding boy.
"Don't Dodge COW—UGH" the boy's protest was cut short.
"BANG."
Yugen's punch landed with precision, causing the boy to involuntarily bite his tongue. His eyes rolled upward, Stumbling backward, he collapsed onto the ground, lying helpless on his back.
The approaching delinquents froze in their tracks, witnessing the unexpected turn of events. They could only make out fragments of the sequence—the masked man skillfully dodging the bat, a seemingly casual punch, and the subsequent crash of the boy hitting the ground. The mysterious masked figure had turned the tables with a combination of finesse and mysterious quirk, leaving the other delinquents momentarily stunned and unsure of how to proceed.
"Wow, his punch didn't touch him at all, yet he somehow got hit? What kind of quirk is this? Nah, Takeshi, you're the smartest one here. Can you guess his quirk?" Hayachi shouted in genuine surprise.
Takeshi shook his head thoughtfully and replied, "I'm not one hundred percent sure. Let's wait and see."
Ryuji on other hand, with his piercing yellow eyes, he observed carefully Yugen's stance, as someone who had fought all kinds of opponent, he recognized that the masked guy in front of him had learned some martial art. he felt itchy to go fight a fist to fist but he must first analyze the quirk of the opponent so he can formulate a fighting strategy, He is waiting like a snake his prey to reveal it's weaknesses, but seeing his gang members hesitating, he shouted furiously.
"WHAT ARE YA WAITING BASATARDS, USE YOUR LARGE NUMBERS TO OVERWHELM HIM!"
"Haruki, Kaito, Renji, use your quirks to entangle him, and all the others seize the chance and pounce on him!"
A boy who was wearing round glasses exuding nerdy vibes that doesn't seems to fit with the gangster vibes, stood on top of a box, he starts giving orders and organizing the members.
Hearing the furious roar of their leader, and the plan of their friend, the delinquents all rushed at the same time toward Yugen, this time no one dared to take the lead, instead, they reached a tactical understanding, and starts forming a half circle composed of three members, the three in the front will sacrifice themselves to entangle Yugen and create an opportunity for the others to take him down.
seeing this, Yugen sneered, as if he will allow them to organize!
Without hesitation, his fist shot toward one of the trio in the front. The punch materialized on the left side, catching the unsuspecting delinquent off guard. Darkness enveloped him instantly, a result of the swift and decisive blow.
The remaining two, witnessing their comrade's abrupt collapse, hurriedly activated their quirks. The one on the left flung a fishnet towards Yugen, while the right unleashed a sticky, transparent substance in the form of balls aimed at Yugen's feet.
"Do you think I'll remain in my place and let your moves land on me?" Yugen taunted as he gracefully executed a series of successive backflips, deftly dodging the entangling attacks.
just when he was ready to punch them, he felt the ground bellow him shaking.
two sharp claws suddenly sticked bellow him and grabbed his feet, looking bellow him, he saw a Mole-Like boy, with his hands covered in grey fur, and a distinctive mole-like snout twitching and sniffing, Yugen could even see the bean seized eyes of the boy full of mockery, Yugen was caught off guard and struggled to free his legs, but the mole like boy refused to give up.
"hehe, just give up or else I'll rip your legs apart with my sharp claws!"
The boy inserted the tip of his sharp claws in yugen's flesh, making him frown.
