Chapter 87: Numo Vs Endeavor

Endeavour was at a disadvantage. He realized it quickly, the Nomu's speed and strength were beyond his. With quick reflexes he dodged another punch the Nomu sent, however, he was overheating rapidly
"I have to end this quickly... FlashFire fist!" Endeavour rocketed his fist forward dashing at the Nomu flying in the air. Hitting him directly he managed to blow his limbs into pieces, seeing this Endeavour took a slight breath
["How scary, Endeavour"] The Nomu continued floating in the air, seemingly unperturbed by his missing limbs, however soon Endeavour realized why.
'he's regenerating!' Endeavour watched as bones began sprouting as muscles coiled around and skin regenerated. Soon enough the Nomu seemed as good as new
"You... Tsk, HellSpider!" Endeavour shouted as he swung his arms out. Strings of fire began weaving themselves out of his fingertips as he swung once again shooting a web of volatile flames towards the Nomu in front of him
Unfortunately, the Nomu was faster than he had expected as it dodged and waved around each strand, lunging forward it landed another hit on Endeavour
*Bang*
With a loud bang, Endeavour smashed into a nearby building, nearly smashing its walls apart, only his propulsion flames keeping him from flying back more.
Endeavour gritted his teeth, the Nomu's arm holding onto his neck constricting him of air. But with a strong blast Endeavour burnt the Nomu away
"Prominence Burn!" Endeavour shouted while gasping for air. It didn't help that all the air around him was scalding hot however he breathed in anyway. As the area began getting more and more evacuated with the help of Hawks, the news and local heroes began arriving. Be it to help him or ridicule
"Endeavour! We're here to help!" Two rookie heroes shouted as they launched projectiles at the Nomu, unfortunately, it didn't seem to like that at all. slowly turning to look at them its eyes flashed with a red light
["You're bothering my FIGHT"] It swung its arm at the rookies as it split apart... Into Nomus... While smaller than it they were still huge, their shrieks of pain hallowing out anyone's ears.
"Oi oi... You've got to be kidding me" Hawks who had just gotten a moment's rest had to dive forward and protect the heroes from the Nomus. With a swift cut, he severed the Nomu's arm, unfortunately, they took a healing factor
"Run away you two!" Hawks shouted as he held two sharpened feathers in his hands. While his feathers weren't robust they could still cut fairly well
"Alright... Let's get this over" Hawks muttered as he gazed at the two Nomu's lunging at him. Without missing a beat Hawks dodged back avoiding the reaching arms of the Nomu before lunging forward yet again, his two feathers aimed at the bulbous eyes of the Nomu's
However, he was suddenly interrupted by the ground shaking, forcing him to flap his wings to escape the Nomu's strikes. Looking up he saw the main Nomu extending his arms as they stretched towards Endeavour, and with a sickening crunch they swung him towards another building.
"Geez that's gotta hurt" Hawks muttered before diving back down. With his assassination skills, he dashed in the blink of an eye decapitating the two Nomus. Taking a deep breath and wiping the sweat off his forehead he muttered
"Let's hope that's all of them... Oh, sh*t" Hawks was interrupted by the bright flash of Endeavour surpassing his limits...plus ultra...

["You've stopped firing those fire rays... Why..? Or you can't fire them..."] The Nomu muttered while staring at Endeavour, all the whole he sweated profusely.
["In that case--"]
"Flashfire fist" Endeavour shouted once again, however, he felt his skin scald. He was pushing his limits, the more he let himself overheat the more his body would deteriorate.
'I don't have time...but' Endeavour felt his hope begin to extinguish, his quirk was a double-edged sword. The more he played with fire, the more he would get burnt. That's why he tried creating a perfect quirk... A combination between Ice and Fire... But he was too ignorant of himself. If he can't teach him then ---
"Oi, this is taking you too long!" Endeavour was surprised to hear a voice from below him. He had thought everyone was ready to evacuate
"Oh, I see your overheating! Lemme help you with that" and with the woman's voice Endeavour suddenly felt cooled down, as if someone was sticking an ice pack directly to his insides
"You've got a lot of heat stored in ya" Endeavour finnaly turned his head towards the mysterious voice, but as soon as he saw her. He remembered something his son told him
*************Flashback Jutsu************
Endeavour felt full of pride, as of recently he saw his son go through rapid improvements. His fire got hotter, and his ice got even colder.
"Shoto! Good job, you're one step closer to surpassing me! Or even All Might" Endeavour said with overconfidence, his eyes scanning the training room, its wall covered with scorch marks and icicles
"I still haven't surpassed her" Shoto muttered while clenching his fists, Endeavor was surprised by Shoto's muttering. Shoto never agreed to try and surpass All Might, however hearing him trying harder to surpass someone he naturally got curious
"Who are you talking about?"
"My teacher... she taught me how to be stronger" Shoto said with a slight blush painting his cheeks, going noticed by Endeavour
"Oh ho, your teacher can teach you better than me??" Endeavour asked while staring at Shoto with a serious gaze
"You tried your whole life trying to create the perfect quirk, but she already has one! She can control ice and fire with no limit!" Shoto shouted slightly embarrassed
"Looks like someone has a teacher crush hehe" Natsou chuckled seeing Shoto's face beet red. however, his expression quickly changed remembering his father was still in the room
"tell me more, Shoto"

Seeing the dark blue hair followed by the clear red eyes, he immediately recognized her from the description Shoto provided. He realized she was using her quirk to cool him down.
'Thermokenisis... it is quite powerful'
Turning his gaze back to the Nomu he noticed he wasn't there anymore. With slight panic, he turned his gaze back to Tempa he saw the Nomu B-lining towards her
["Woman... You're interrupting my fight... DIE!"] The Nomu said as his hands stretched forward ready to snuff the life out of her. However...
"Nuh uh" Tempa wagged her finger in front of the Nomu, in an instant, the Nomu felt like his entire body was submerged in an icy lake. His fire propulsion stopped working as ice began covering his skin.
["Y-You"] The Nomu widened his eyes as he began turning into an ice sculpture.
"Go fight burny boy," Tempa said while clutching her fist, with a small spark a firey explosion engulfed the Nomu sending it back into the sky, though it also broke it out of its icy prison
"How about fighting someone your own size? FLASHFIRE FIST!" Endeavour dashed at the Nomu while it was dazed and managed to land a devastating hit on its side. And with no resistance the Nomu was sent into the distance giving them both time to breath
Endeavour felt like he was in a well-ventilated room, the searing temperature not even affecting him turned towards Tempa
"What are you doing here?" He asked
"Huh? I helped you and you're acting like that? How rude" Tempa put her hands to her side and pouted, while she wasn't actually angry at Endeavor she was annoyed her clothes got sullied because of the fight going on.
"Thank you, but answer my question, you should've been evacuated by Hawks" Endeavor repeated with a serious gaze, his eyes turning to where the Nomu was, keeping an eye
"I was about to visit my husband cuz I've been spending too much time at UA... By the way, if the fight reaches my house I'm freezing you alive"
"Alight..." Endeavour thought of the cooling sensation and came up with an idea
"Tempa right? Help me fight this Nomu!" Endeavour said while dashing towards where the Nomu was headed, completely forgetting something
"Oi... I can't fly dumb*ss" Tempa shouted seeing Endeavor flying in the distance. She thought she could finally have a moment's rest from that brat Rimuru however fate likes to play games..
"This feels like a dumb anime plot... why am I talking like him..." She thought to herself before looking at the ground and then at her hand. taking inspiration from a student of hers she began freezing the air into a solid, shaping it like a ramp.
"Well, fighting is kinda fun..."

As the Nomu flew through the air so did Endeavor, his body erupting in heat like never before. The Nomu, being not only observant but intelligent as well noticed the difference
["You're... Still... Fine? How.. Surprising..."] The Nomu readjusted his flight and dashed forward, and with Endeavor not being able to adjust well in the air, Landed a hit quite quickly
["Cold?"] The Nomu immediately noticed that although Endeavor was on fire, his body temperature was cold, his eyes shifting towards an icy ramp extending nearby
["Reinforments? How chea---
"Shut your mouth! Prominence Burn!" Endeavour exploded in flames turning a part of the Nomu into ashes, however, the rapid healing of the Nomu made the task all the more difficult
The Nomu began trying to strategize now that it was essentially a 2v1, with a swift manoeuvre it dodged another flashfire fist and launched a counter-attack. Extending his arm's length he grabbed onto nearby buildings acting as a break, but due to the speed the two were travelling his hands ripped the walls off the building. Of course the Nomu wasn't caught off guard as he threw the concrete blocks at Endeavor
Unfortunately that strategy didn't work as they melted as soon as they got too close to Endeavor, feeling the fight wasn't going anywhere the Nomu finally decided to leave
["I had fun fighting you Endeavor... such a shame that---
His words were interrupted by Endeavor landing another hit on his chin, but the Nomu was completely unimpressed. his healing factor regenerating half his face back
"Don't try leaving villain!" Endeavor said in between breaths, while his body was no longer overheating he was still tired from the fight, and if he didn't finish it quickly he might collapse
Sending a punch at the Nomu it was predictably dodged however Endeavor managed to get a grapple on the Nomu. Now in a tango mid-air Endeavor kicked, punched, and headbutted the Nomu till no end. The Nomu getting singed and turned to ashes by the minute
["You can't kill me before you get too tired Endeavor keke"] The Nomu realized Endeavor wasn't going for a strong move as it could easily evade and escape however he had one small lapse in his judgement
"Dammit! Do it now!" Endeavor shouted as he held the Nomu with more strength. Before the Nomu could retaliate was immediately frozen in mid-air
"Frost moon reaver!" Tempa shouted a cool finishing move as she usurped all the energy from the Nomu freezing it in place. with a nod, Endeavor went for his very own finishing move
"Prominence Hellfire BURN" Endeavor exploded into hellfire melting every building in his surroundings. the Nomu, being at ground zero took the brunt of the hellish temperature. turning to ashes never to be seen again...

*Crunch*
"Damn, that was so sick... Endeavor didn't even get his a** beat" I exclaimed in between bites of popcorn, today's news broadcast felt just like a movie. however my exclamation earned me a glare from Shoto
"Hey.. Rimuru.. isn't that your mom? Like tempest-sensei?" Midoriya muttered his eyes glued to the screen while scribbling on his notebook
"Yeah?"
"What's her weakness?"
"uh... miserable people I guess?" I sad while thinking of my dad.... wait didn't she say she was going to visit him? Poor dog...
