Chapter 1: Darkness
My body is trembling in fear.
As darkness draws near.
Grabbing me and pulling me under.
Under the water that was going to drown me.
I see everyone that I love, leave out of sight.
I reached for them, but I was being pulled
even deeper.
Tears began pouring down my cheeks.
As my body begins to shake.
How much can I take?
Before death comes for me.
Then suddenly realization hits me
Life was going to be hard.
That it'll be an obstacle.
I have to go through it.
Even though I'll see the bad along the way
But I have to keep on going to see the good.
That means I shouldn't give up.
I have to keep fighting this depression.
Depression that brought me into this darkness in the first place.
Soon enough I found the light.
And saw my family and friends again.
Who pulled me through.
They never gave up on me.
Only stayed by my side.
Helping me fight this horrible illness.
I have to keep moving forward.
Because I have a purpose in this world.
And I have to keep living to find what that is.
