Chapter 11: Chapter-10: Knowing about Virus
Then Hiroki observed there were no zombies outside the door. He slowly opened the door walked outside with Nam-ra, and then closed the door.
"Left or right?" asked Hiroki looking around the corridor.
"Left"
"Then let's go " he said as he slowly walked in the corridors without making a sound with his sword looking around vigilantly.
Even though there were no zombies there is nothing wrong with being vigilant.
"So, how much distance are we away from the lab?" asked Hiroki
"It is just right around that corner if we turn right," said Nam-ra
As he was walking he heard footsteps coming towards them from the front,
"it seems we got company," said Hiroki as he unsheathed his sword
Then he saw zombies coming out of the intersection, then saw Hiroki and Nam-ra and the moment they saw them, they ran towards them like crazy
"Arghhhh"
"Graagghyh"
"Try to stick close to my back."
"Okay"
"Then let's start the slaughter," said Hiroki with a smile.
Then he beheaded the zombie that was coming towards him, then kicked the zombie's leg making it fall down and crushed its head with his leg. While still swinging the sword.
The zombies were like watermelons having no resistance. How can they have resistance when they face a monster with ten times the strength of humans and human swordsmanship at the pinnacle of the human realm?
" Is that the way?"
"Yes, and that is the room," said Nam-ra as she pointed to one room, while more zombies came towards him.
"Got our goal "
"Now to make way," said Hiroki but as they were moving a zombie attacked Nam-ra from behind. Hiroki whose hearing is many times greater heard it,
"Look out" as he pulled Nam-ra into his arms hugging her with one hand and kicking the zombie. The zombie kicked by Hiroki didn't die, he just stood up again.
Nam-ra in Hiroki's arms was shocked because this was the first time she was hugged by the opposite sex. She is feeling somewhat complex feelings in her heart.
"Are you okay?" Asked Hiroki with a concerned look
" " but Nam-ra didn't respond still looking listless
"Hey, Nam-ra " shouted Hiroki
"What ?"
"Well it seems you are fine, then let's walk " said Hiroki as she dragged her towards the Science lab.
They arrived at the door of the science lab and looked at the door which was locked.
"it is locked " said Nam-ra with a gloomy face then Hiroki slashed at the lock. I was clean-cut into two.
"Now it is not," said Hiroki who opened the door and entered it and closed it.
"Huff, huff" Nam-ra had difficulty breathing because of running.
"well we reached our goal " said Hiroki as he looked around the lab.
"What do you need in this lab?" asked Nam-ra in confusion. What is so special in this lab that makes him take the risk of fighting zombies and come here?
"The origin of the virus " said Hiroki as he walked towards the storage room and opened it and saw many medicines and many things and a laptop on the table. The room was also filled with the smell of many medicines.
"Got it," said Hiroki with a smile as he walked towards the laptop and opened it.
"Shit, it is locked" he cursed as he saw the screen of the laptop.
"What happened?" asked Nam-ra with a worried look looking at Hiroki
"Nothing just -----" As Hiroki was about to say something a system prompt came
[ Would you like to decode the laptop? ]
'Yes '
Then the green lines of coding began to appear on the laptop and all the files were opened.
"Would you like to watch?" Asked Hiroki as he sat down on the chair, he pulled another chair and motioned Nam-ra to sit down.
Nam-ra sat down and Hiroki started the video and the video of Professor Lee-Beyong-chan started playing.
"My name is Lee-byeong-chan and I'm a high school teacher and previously a pharmacist company researcher."
"My son JIn-su was bullied in school. I had complained to the school authority but they ignored it."
"And they made me shut up, saying it would affect the school's reputation."
"I was disappointed in the school authorities, but my son didn't understand anything and he tried to take his life."
"Seeing this my heart was broken, so I tried to increase his confidence."
"Then I experimented with rats and extracted a hormone from rats that increases aggressiveness."
"And I injected it into my son Jin-su who suffered from bullying, I wanted him to overcome fear and fight back
"But I never expected this to happen " with tears and a remorse expression on his face
"the hormone excreted from the rats created a virus, I named it Jonus virus. It stimulates the nerves and eliminates human thinking "
"And reduces the human brain to move according to their instincts."
"making them nothing but beasts"
"Will we humans be different from those beasts if we act on instincts?"
"And the virus is evolving. As soon as it enters it attacks the living cells of the human body killing them."
"I lost my son and wife " said Lee Byeong-chan with a tearful expression
"Day 17"
"I found that raising the body temperature internally or externally can produce white which may kill the virus."
"But the virus didn't die because it devoured white blood cells."
"There is no cure for this except burning the host," said Lee Beyong-chan as he began to pour petrol over his wife and son and lit up the stick.
"I can't kill them," said Lee Beyong-chan and the video stopped
