Chapter 2: Limitted Time
I spent every minute of my time with my mother because I know my time with her is nearing its end. My mothers coughing has turn for the worst. She has been weak since childhood and her health has dwindled for the worse since my birth.
She have carried and took care of me alone. And this have weaken her more. Now her time is very limited, and I cant do anything about it.
But, Mama would always talk and spend her time with me. We are poor but I don't care, I have the mentality of a 20 years old. And I understand the hard work my mama spent to feed both of us.
Since we don't have money, our bounding time are spent watching TV. Mamas' favorite would be watching K-Pop Idols.
She love watching them sing and dance. She said they were the most beautiful in the stage smiling to their fans. And she just love it.
We would also watch dramas together, cry together, and laugh together. The time I spent with her are the most happy days of my life. I am really glad I was given another chance to be with her.
Maybe because she love K-pop so much that it was rubbed on me. Before I came back, I dreamed of becoming an Idol, I watch and copy them sing and dance. When my cousin see me, he would always ridicule my impossible dream.
Now that I think about it, my mama was the reason of my dream. She would always tell me how beautiful I would be on stage. And she would fantasize about me being on one.
Since then, it's what I dreamed of for both of us.
Then that time came. My mother approach her younger sister to take of me because she knows she's dying. She left everything she have with my aunt, Ji Jaeyin, at first she was adamant in accepting me because she also have a 2 year old daughter but mother promised her the house left by their parents and a little money if she took care of me.
Mama left me again, but this time I promised her to live my life the way it should be. I will live for both of us from now on.
My aunt did took care of me in her own way. Even if she and my cousin, Ji Sayeon, leaves me in the house for whole day without anything.
I went through this before so its easy now. I cleaned the house and wash clothes. Everything she instructed me to do, she did before so I wasn't shocked anymore. I was their personal maid.
But, I survived it.
I then started to plan for my future.
