David waking up from that "dream" of his, he was very groggy. He didn't know what was happening and just confused overall, after all, who isn't a little confused sometimes waking up from a good nap. But the difference was that he was outside. He doesn't remember sleeping outside, but even more confused why the trees were so much smaller when he laying down.
He tried to sit up, but was unbalanced at first. He felt off, not realizing that he had already been transformed. He looks down and sees paws instead of hands. Confused at first, then the memories start to come to him.
Still processing what actually happened, he starts to make connections with everything. Finally, after some time of thinking and remembering, is forced to accept what happened.
'Alright, so I died, met God, changed into a mythical creature, and am now tall enough to dwarf trees with just my toes, or I guess paw toes...I can't believe that I just summed it all up to that. Oh well, can't do much about it, so where the heck am I now?'
As he thinks that, he tries to move around to get used to the new body. He takes a few steps and realizes that he got used to it too quickly. 'What is going on? I shouldn't be this used to a new body yet, unless God allowed me to have some training wheels with all this, cool. So, since I'm like this, I wonder what I look like now. I see that I have white paws with red too, and the white goes all the way up my legs...it's going to be a nightmare to keep myself clean won't it?'
As he thinks this, he sees something off to the side. 'A tail. No, there's more of them.' David starts to count them all and sees 9 different tails. All white with red tips. (Just think of the main cover). 'Huh, also going to be a nightmare to keep clean, but hey, at least I look good though.' He smirks to himself, just trying to cheer himself up. And it works.
He starts to laugh to himself, but then he hears a voice in his head. "Hello again, and sorry for everything you have gone through. As you were transitioning between places, I thought it best that I gave you a few more gifts since you are going to a new world and all in a new body no less, with chaos and drama around every corner. So, as a helpful little gift, I gave you 'memories' so to speak of you switching between different forms, that'll allow you to interact with people and change you size at will. Just know that right now, you are roughly 100 ft tall, but that is going to change for you. You are going to grow, since I made your body basically a kid. And just so you know, that body right now is your true form. You can switch how tall you are, but you won't be able to get any bigger than your main body.
Oh, and that magic thing that you were wanting, you are going to have to develop it on your own. Since I believed it be best you figure it out, I also gave you 'memories' of the basics for you to use. How you go about developing them, that's up to you. I also gave you an 'upgrade' in understanding things and also gave you a place to stay. Since I know that you probably didn't always want to stay out in the wild, and didn't want to stay around people all that much, knowing you would like to have a place away from people, I thought it be best. I also gave you the key to it, just think of going to that place, and you'll teleport to it, since it's a little hard to reach even for you, just know that you'll automatically be switching to your human form every time or your smaller 9-tailed form when you go there. You can also allow others to come, who that is, is up to you. I did base it off of one video game that you used to play a lot as a kid, and I did change up the bedroom since I didn't think it suit you all that much haha. You'll find out which world you're in when you get to your new home. Good luck, and stay safe in that world, you have more than the monsters to be afraid of just remember that. You aren't that strong yet, so be thoughtful of how you go about things."
'Huh, guess He helped me out more than I thought He would.' Before he could think more, God said again in his head, "Oh, and I also blessed you that your fur would stay white as long as your not in a fight, just remember to wash afterwards, I just make it look clean."
"YEEEEEES!" David shouts out, scaring everything in miles of earshot of it. 'I don't have to worry about it anymore!' He thinks with a crying happy face.
'Anyway, let me focus on switching bodies first, since I want to get used to it first... I won't be naked when I change right? Right?' And taking a leap of faith, he changes bodies.
Seeing clothes on him, he sighs in relief. 'Guess he also thought of this. Anyway, lets go see my new home. I wonder what he could be talking about. A childhood game, but difficult to reach even while here. I can pretty much reach anywhere on Earth, but so could anybody else. Which means that it's either in the water, or the sky. Wait, he said childhood game, and I loved Mario Galaxy as a kid and played it over and over. No, it couldn't...it totally is isn't it?'
And just as he thought of going to his new home. He sees where he is at, and just says, "Yep, totally was...THIS IS SO FREAKING AWESOME I'M IN THE ACTUAL OBSERVATORY HAHAHA!"
Standing just like Mario would do when he lands for the first time on the Observatory, he looks around and notices that the place has full power and everything, just like in the game. However, instead of the teleport pads that Mario would take to get to different areas, there are lifts that take him up to those places.
When he finally starts walking to the center with the screen, he sees that's where God had said where he was at the time.
"Welcome to the world of Pacific Rim."
