Chapter 12: IN TOO DEEP
ALEXIS
I closed the door and rested behind it.
Was I just rejected?
I laughed softly in disbelief. I couldn't believe it.
I walked up to my room as I recalled what happened 5 minutes ago.
"Aiden,Would you like to come inside?" I'd asked Aiden.
"No" he'd replied in a heartbeat.
"That jerk" I muttered under my breathe"He could have atleast pretended to think about it. I just didn't want him to leave yet"
I walked into my room and screamed as I saw Aiden on my window.
"You scared me. What are you doing here?"
He jumped in"I knew you would be thinking silly thoughts so decided to clear up something"
He caught me. I looked away to avoid his eyes"And what thoughts are those?"
"I didn't decline your offer to come in because of you . I just -"he looked away"I just don't think I can control myself around you any longer"
I blushed. So that was it ."I just wanted to spend more time with you was why I asked you to stay over"
"Really?"
"Yes"
"Then in that case. Go out to the living room"
I went out to the living room as Aiden sat on my bed leaving the door wide opened.
"Let's stay like this".
I laughed. "Fine by me "
Now that we were separated by a large mass of space, the image of him and Katherina running in hand in hand today played in my mind and make me unknowingly frown.
"What are you thinking of?"Aiden asked.
I didn't want to sound petty so I didn't want to say it.
But the urge to ask was strong"I just have to ask. Why do you keep on hanging around Katherina when you know she likes you ? I just don't get it "
"And you?"
"What?"
"Why do you keep on hanging out with guys who aren't me ?"
"I don't-"
I shivered as I felt Aiden's hands on my cheeks. When had he gotten so close?
"You know, I can't really help myself when you are jealous"
He pulled me down and kissed me and I pulled him closer to me.
The fact that I'd started feeling insecure about the girls who hangs out around Aiden just goes as far as to prove that I had feelings for him .
And so therefore, I was scared.
Scared of losing him to anyone. I keep finding myself wanting him to confirm that I'm the one for him and no one else.
I clinged tightly to his shoulder as he drew me closer towards him.
A sudden knock on the door drew us apart.
"Friend , are you there?" A voice called from outside. I recognized the voice instantly.
It was Kenny.
"Stay here, I'm going to send -" I paused as I saw that Aiden was gone.
I sighed as I headed downstairs and opened the door to see a smiling Kenny.
"What brings you by?" I asked with disinterest.
"Just because"Kenny stuttered looking away from my eyes"I wanted to see if you got back home safely"
I sighed. "You could have just called"
"I don't have your number"
I walked in and came back and handed him a piece of paper."Now you have it, take care "
I ran back up to my room to see if Aiden was still around by any chance but he wasn't.
I whined in frustration as I threw myself down on the bed and grumbled.

AIDEN
I almost lost my control for a while back there with Alexis.
But more importantly, the reason I'd left was because of Kenny.
His presence made me angry for some reason.
As I walked back home, I saw Bobby waiting Infront of my house.
"Uh-oh" I muttered and turned around to run away but bobby had seen me and given me a hot chase.
"Where is she?" He growled.
"Relax, I'm sorry I haven't returned Melissa yet but she's in a perfectly good condition . Trust me "
I led him to where his red car was and he hugged it.
I smiled .
"Anyways, where are you coming from this late at night?" Bobby asked sitting ontop of his red car.
"Just somewhere"
"You wanna talk about it ?You look real pissed"
I stared at Bobby and remembered how our friendship had started.
It was when I was 5 and I went to the playground.
As an omega, I was used to being separated from the rest of the pack but then doing that to a child can really hurt their self esteem.
And also to an alpha's child.
I'd seen Bobby looking all depressed and sitting being the playground.
I'd walked over to him"Hey, you look pissed"
He looked up at me "And so ? Can you help me with whatever is bothering me ? You can't so just get lost!"
He stood up and walked past me but I held his hand and faced him"Do you..wanna talk about it?"
I came back from the trip to memory lane and shook my head "Nah, man. It's all good. It's nothing really"
"You know, it hurts right?"
"What?"
"You've always been there for me when something was troubling me but then when it's your turn, you shut me out."He climbed down from his car"I won't pressure you though man, I'm here when you need me"
He got into his car and drove off. I sighed as I walked into my house and threw myself down on my bed.
My phone rang and it was Alexis.
I hesitated Abit before picking up."Hello?"
"Where are you? You left suddenly"
"It's nothing. Don't worry about it."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes. Sleep, we have school tomorrow. See you then"
"Yes. Goodnight"
"Goodnight" I replied and hung up. I took on deep breaths and covered my eyes with my hand but Kenny's voice kept on popping on my head.
Unable to sleep, I went out for a run. I transformed into my white wolf form and as my paws hit the ground I went wherever they went.
I found myself by the waterfall where Alexis usually visited.
I transformed back and took a huge sigh. The rushing sound of the water calmed me alot.
I heard rustling and when I headed towards the direction of the sound , I saw Alexis.
"What are you doing here?"she asked in shock.
"Just needed some fresh air and you ?"
She looked away from me and looked at the water"I'm here because I'm pissed"
"Why?"
She looked back at me sternly"You really don't know why?You are angry at something aren't you ?"
"How did you know?"
She scoffed"We've been friends for a long time "she moved close to me "But now we are more than friends so whatever it is that is, you can always tell me instead of shutting me out"
I didn't know what to say"I'm sorry ."
"So what was it?"
"Don't worry about-"
"There you go again" Alexis grumbled"Just say it "
I moved closer to Alexis "If I do as you say. Tell you what you do that gets me angry at all the time, would you stop doing them?"
"Of course"
"Then in that case, listen carefully. I don't want you to hang out with Kenny ever again. I don't care whatever friendship you have with him. I get to be the only man in your life. Is that fine by you ?"
She stared at me as if she was seeing a different person entirely"The same goes for you then. I don't want you hanging out with Katherina. Deal?"
"Deal"
She smiled"Now was that so hard?"
I drew her close to me by her waist"No. Do I really get to speak my mind around you?"
"Of course"
"Then" I said trailing my hands up her cheeks as my face broke into a smirk"There's something I would like to do right now"
