Chapter 40: Exhausted

We finally made our way through the last room of the ship and it is sad to say that we only found another five people alive. The sadness that is lingering on the ship is unbearable and it drains all the energy out of me. I never wanted to go back to my ship as much as I do right now.

But I know that I should stay strong for all the nurses and other personnel so that we all can stay strong together. Every so often you would hear somebody just cry silently as it is just a bit too much to bear.

Some of these soldiers knew some of the soldiers that were on our ship and even some nurses and doctors. So, it is really sad to see their fellow friends fallen and like this. Then I look out of the window and I realized that the night has come.
