Chapter 1: An Untimely death

It all started the day I passed my college entrance exam.

My name is Roy Cooper. I was an average 18-year-old high school graduate. All my life I was average at everything. The saying "jack of all trades and master of none" fits perfectly with me. Even my family was middle class. but we were a happy family of three. I didn't want to be average my whole life, so I studied really hard to get into a prestigious college. Even though I was average I wanted to be someone great like every other person.

I have a hobby of reading cultivation web novels. Because I like how they go against their own fate.

After the entrance exam, I passed my days reading cultivation web novels. That's why I didn't have a girlfriend.~~

Finally, the day of the result announcement came and I passed. My family and I celebrated like crazy that day. But unfortunately, a robber broke into our house and pointed a gun at my mom's head. Without knowing it, I killed someone for the first time in my life

but surprisingly I didn't feel bad for him. While I was thinking how to calm my parents, the robber who was at death's door took the gun from my hand and shot at me. I died....

Somewhere in the void after an unknown amount of time, a soul was wandering aimlessly. It suddenly started to shine brightly.

Roy awoke from his deep sleep. At first, he panicked. Because he didn't have a body, couldn't see or move or feel anything. But after some time he calmed down. He started to remember everything that happened. He was sad at his untimely death, but he was happy because he was able to save his family. Soon he realized that he was conscious when he should have been dead. Suddenly he heard a mechanical sound.

He heard a smoothing feminine voice in his head. He became overly excited. The things that only happens in novels were happening to him. He thought of all the possibilities and was over the moon. Then he calmed down and started to question the system for information.
