Chapter 52: Chapter 52 Behind the door
" Thank mother nature , I was starting to think I will be stuck in this dungeon forever " , Mariposa said visibly calming down .
" Even though the boss room is right in front of us we need to take care of the monsters first " , Avrion stated .
" we can try luring some of them towards us to slowly kill them off " , Zatiel said .
" Okay Vastor , we need you to draw the attention of the beast , don't draw more than five at once and make sure not to draw the attention of those close to each other , just lure the one at the extreme of the group " , Avrion said .
" Got it " , Vastor said sprinting towards the monsters in the distance .
Although Vastor used his Wind Mana to boost his speed and agility , he could also send wind attacks but they where not strong and below average due to him not having a large quantity of Mana and had to manage the consumption of Mana in other not to be weakened , and all though he couldn't do any damage to the dungeon's beast he could still draw their attention .
Going after one of the Spiked beast that had moved quite the distance from the group , he sent a wind attack towards the beast head .
Thump.
It hit the beast squarely on it's face , but it didn't seem to do any thing to the beast rather than make it angry before it charged towards the human who dared to attack him .
Two magma beast close to the Spiked beast seeing it chasing after the human also joined the chase against the human .
Vastor easily out ran the Spiked beast which was constantly shooting spikes towards him which he effortlessly dodged , the beast was followed closely behind by the two magma beast right behind the him .
Swoosshh .
Easily dodging the approaching spikes Vastor fled towards the team of warriors who were getting ready to attack the beast .
After luring them for about 20 seconds Vastor had almost reached the spot in which his team mates where hiding , after passing it the beast didn't take notice of the humans behind the melting rock it was to focused on chasing after the fleeing human to worry about any thing else .
Sccrrrrkkkk .
A Sword covered in lightning easily sliced the spiked beast hand's of before it could register what happened .
" Aaaarrgghhh " .
The two magma beast behind where immediately bombarding with attacks not even giving them a second to process what happen .
The spiked beast held it's hand in pain staring at the human who could easily cut off it's hand before sending a spike towards the human .
Zatiel easily cut the spike in two , before he sent s lightning attack towards the beast who took a few step back due to the power of the attack , the attack only left burn mark on the beasts chest and wasn't enough to get past it's insane defence.
' Tch , there body is a real counter for my attack lightning is weak against earth ', Zatiel thought .
The beast having recovered from the attack sent three one meter spikes flying towards Zatiel , seeing the approaching spikes , Zatiel reinforced him self and his sword with Mana before charging towards the attack .
Slash .
Cutting the spike apart Zatiel aimed for the knees of the beast slicing it of and making the beast fall to the floor , before he sliced of the beast head .
" Rrrrrgghhhh " .
The last magma beast finally gave it's last cry before falling dead on the floor after been bombarded with attacks .
" Go lure some more Vastor , at this rate we will be done in no time " , Avrion said .
Ten minutes later the group had already killed more than 20 beast all together , and the beast left where the ones close to the gate of the boss room , they stood close to each other and Vastor was having a hard time luring them without gaining the attention of all the beast .
While Vastor was still thinking of a way to lure them out one of the spiked beast caught sight of Vastor .
" Ssscccrrrhhh " .
Letting out a cry it charged after Vastor , the other beast Seeing it run after Vastor also proceeded to join the chase , this snow balled with more and more beast joining the chase until all the beast where on his tail, over 16 beast where now charging towards Vastor who had already started to flee .
' Shit , how did it even find me , I taught they had bad vision ' , Vastor thought .
" Guys change of plan they are all heading your way " , Vastor shouted .
" They are sixteen of them , try to take on a beast alone but if you can't then you can join another warrior who is having a hard time to take them out , strike to kill don't waste time , and most importantly protect the healer at all cost we only have one left so make sure nothing happens to her " , Avrion stated before drawing out his longsword .
The beasts where now just a few meters away from them while Vastor had already joined the group .
" Attack " , Avrion shouted .
The warriors immediately entered a heated battle with each adventurer trying to kill their beast as soon as possible , but some couldn't handle a single beast all by themself and had to join others in defeating a beast , but this in turn made some warriors handle more than one beast .
The clash continued for a full 10 minute with some adventurers getting injured , but that is nothing an a rank healing spell couldn't solve as long as the warrior wasn't dead even if he was near death an A rank healer would be able to heal them , the beast where killed one after another with the warriors ganging up on them it didn't take long before all of them where dead .
The team took the crystals in the beasts before heading towards the boss room .
" We have explored all the floors of the dungeon , all that remains is to kill the boss and destroy the dungeon core , in a few minutes we would be out of this dungeon so I want everyone to give their all in taking down the boss " Avrion said before opening the gigantic doors .
" It's time to finally see what is behind this door " , Zatiel said .
