"Jae." Joo Hyeok calls out, watching his son descend down the stairs, his voice remains soft yet firm.

"Yes, dad." Yeong Jae answers, turning around on his feet and approaching his dad, Joo Hyeok pats the seat beside him and gestures for Yeong Jae to take a seat. Yeong Jae casually walks to his dad and sits down, facing his dad with his questioning gaze.

"I am sorry." Joo Hyeok speaks, extending his arms and grabbing Yeong Jae's before he softly caresses them. Yeong Jae frowns, tilting his head he questions, "Sorry? Why are you sorry?" Yeong Jae anticipates his dad's reply.

"Today...I saw her. I know you did too." Joo Hyeok says, his eyes avoiding Yeong Jae's and remaining fixed on their intertwined hand, Yeong Jae widens his eyes taken aback, he did not expect to hear this from his dad.

Not when he has been foreboding himself from remembering her, for him everything was in vain now.
